How does one get known?/Second story?

So, I've been looking at the Featured lists and I've been wondering, "How does this guy get so many views?"

Is it the story? Is it the writer? Is it because it's so freaking awesome?

I don't know, and I really wouldn't mind finding out.

I'm thinking its because the author writes more than one story! I only have one story, and I kinda planned to write for that and only that. Though. . I'm thinking, maybe I should stop work on 'The Fallen Soldier' and start planning some kind of separate story.

Maybe it can take place in a alternate dimension of 'The Fallen Soldier' and my OC or maybe a new OC can take reigns as the protagonist.

Maybe Anderson was born and raised in Equestria, let's say he went by like any other man, unnoticed by the populace of Equestria. And maybe he finds a spacecraft that fell from space? Maybe that spacecraft contains a A.M.A.H.S. suit? Or maybe it contains an item from another game?

Or maybe it contains some kind of Gene altering drug that turns him into a super power bearing human? Maybe it attracts the attention of some Non-friendlys?

Or maybe I can completely scrap this idea and write a Clopfic?

I need to practice my Clopfic writing anyway.

Anyway, this is just the idea of another potential story I can write, or maybe not.

but until then, How about you guys tell me were success comes from? I'm eager to talk to you guys!
