The End of A New Kind of Party

It's finally here, the end of the TwiPie story, A New Kind of Party. It's been a long time, with lots of space and delays between some of the chapters.

The End of A 'Not So Simple' Simple Life

At long last, Simple Life has come to an end. It's been many years now and it's rather long. The couple certainly have come a long way, and have finally made progress. But this wasn't the original plan.

    Changes to "One Winter's Day"

So, as some pointed out about my story, One Winter's Day, it wasn't exactly 'done'. The story had mostly a beginning and sort of end, and not much of a middle.

I hadn't wanted it to be very long, afraid I would make it super long. Guess I made it too short instead. So now, I've added more and hopefully it feels better for everyone else too.

    Enjoy the holidays folks!

A New Kind of Party Seperating from Show Cannon

Meant to post this at the same time as the last New Kind of Party update, but this would be roughly where the story is definitely separating from the main cannon. It will deal with some of the episodes coming up (especially the ones I pointed out in one of my previous blogs) but this

    The Legend of the Everfree

How funny that a couple of months after I return from a summer long sleepaway camp in the woods on the mountains, my little pony comes out with their latest movie based on a camp. :rainbowlaugh:

A little bit of everything (Bronycon, broni-versary and some sneak peaks!) · 11:50pm Mar 1st, 2015

Greeting to those who actually read blog posts! Here is further proof that I am indeed not dead (man, I really do like to go on about not being 'gone'... Whelp, at least you'd know if I did die, I'd finally shush up about it :rainbowlaugh: ). So there's a bunch of stuff I want to talk about with everyone who cares to hear it. I like to be organized about it, so let's get one of the more 'random' bits out first.

I'm going to bronycon! I went last year and it was a blast! I'll be going again this year and actually trying to cosplay two out of three days, one as Doctor Horrible and the other as Madam Pinkie Pie, complete with mystical orb of fate's destiny. I'll be staying at a hotel there, so it shall be much easier on my mental and physical state than last time. Also on my wallet since I had to pay for two others' tickets. It was a relative and a friend, who both wanted to go but couldn't afford it. So I paid for them and we had 'fun'-kind of. Loads of drama though.

This time, I shall be on my own, and it shall be weird! :applejackunsure: I.... have never gone to someplace by myself before. I've always known someone who was there (on a personal level, celebs/horse famous people don't count) and I'd have friends to hang out with at whatever location... This time, it is just me... It shall be very odd...

Anyways! On the topic of learning more about myself (gotta love my transition!), I have a question to the general audience. Have you ever discovered you had the wrong cutie mark? Or at least, you had found your calling in life but then gave up on it, only to come back years down the road and decide to try it again? I have. About writing funny enough. (I am curious about if you have experienced something like this, but I shall continue to blather on while you think about it (and hopefully post a comment about it))

I had first thought to become a writer when I was in high school. Being told I had very bad grammar constantly made me give it up though. Now, years and years later, I find that I really just want to spend every waking moment writing. But since life doesn't work like that, I usually suppress that urge to write all the time and instead do it in chunks when I can.

My little pony is how I figured this out. Being a brony has been a big impact on my life. Reminding me of simple but true lessons, showing me a world where people are very friendly and support one another, bringing the joy of writing back into my life... Very important things. Also gave me a true friend who has been pushing me to work hard at my pony stories and even beyond. Gwg has helped shape a large part of each story I write now. NKP, TTS, NSSSL, and some future projects (sorry, no spoilers here!) once the main three are done, have been encouraged and improved on by talking and sharing ideas with Gwg. TTS has grown ten fold because of him alone, giving me a short idea or scene he thought would be neat and I expand on it (aside from what I already thought of for it). And after discovering just how large and strong TTS is, we decided to try and write actual stories for physical publication. I'm working, ever so slowly, on a long series at this time. Though since it's still a 'young' idea, so it may take me a few years to finish it. Especially with real life wanting to always knock on my door.

But being a brony will always be a part of me now. March (yeah, the whole month, because I can't figure out when exactly I 'became' a brony) is my broni-versery (this can be found in the dictionary, right next to hangry and nervicitied :pinkiehappy:). I will have been in the fandom for two years now. Still the longest running fandom I have actively taken part of, ever. And it shall always have a special place in my heart, because of the joy and new experiences it has given me.

Aside from the many watchers and favorites each individual story has, I actually have 77 followers personally. Three years ago, I wouldn't have even thought 10 would want to see what I come do next as a whole. Nor that I would re-discover my passion for writing. I wanna thank you guys for your interest and following. As thanks and as part of my broni-versary, here is a preview of some of my stories, short little clips from far future chapters. :raritywink: Enjoy!

The Adventures of the Cutie Mark Crusaders - Fillies on a Mission

“Girls!” Sweetie Belle rushed to the tiny cafe they had planned to meet at. Out of breath and flushed, she pulled up as Apple Bloom and Scootaloo stared back curiously. “You have to come quick! There’s trouble at the amphitheater!”

The others shared a quick glance of panic before hopping down from their seats, taking off after the pale-gray filly. They didn’t slow down even as they passed the citizens of the dreary town. The compacted dirt paths gave them a solid grip as they ran. With sunlight fading rapidly over the tree tops that were overly present throughout the settlement, the trio arrived at outdoor theater, gasping at the destruction within.

All the props, displays and sets for that evening’s show were smashed into tiny bits. The pieces were scattered about and when they arrived backstage, the Crusaders discovered the box of tools were stolen as well.

“Ah bet it was them Red Dragons! They’re tryin’ to get us tah fail the town of Hollow Shades!” Apple Bloom stomped a hoof in aggravation, glaring at the mess.

“Wh-what do we do?” Sweetie Belle panted heavily from running twice the distance in the span of a few seconds. She wiped at her forehead as she watched their leader think.

“We’re not going to just give up, right?” Scootaloo frowned at her own words, anger flickering inside her bright orange barrel.

“O’ course not!” Apple Bloom looked up defiantly before signalling her fellow Crusaders closer. “We’re gonnah save this town from those Dragons, just like we have for the past year. And this is how we’re gonnah do it…”

Taming the Storm

Stars twinkled in the inky sky. There wasn’t a cloud in sight, giving a perfect view of the night to the two pegasi resting side by side on the hilltop. A gentle breeze ruffled the grass and their fur. Feeling the canary yellow mare shiver beside her, the usually brash pegasus shifted closer, extending her right wing over her long time friend.

At the touch of feathers on her back, the shy mare glanced to her left, noting with a tiny smile the red hue over a cyan muzzle. The two drew closer, heads tilted upwards, while the nocturnal sounds continued softly in the background. the prismatic mare shuffled in place, unable to fidget, as she tried to speak.

“Uh, Fl-fluttershy?” Magenta eyes were fixated on the town below their lookout point. Most of the lights were out as it grew even later, not that either pegasus cared.

“Yes, Dashie…?” A tender smile was firmly etched on the yellow muzzle.

The normally over-confident flier found that teal eyes froze her brain and stilled her tongue. The sight of the blue-green orbs dropping down, embarrassed blush covering the muzzle underneath, spurned the cyan mare into action.

“Fluttershy, I-”

A Not So ‘Simple’ Simple Life

The candle light shone brightly from the hanging fixture, illuminating the two mares’ table and leaving the rest in shadowy dimness. The yellow hue reflected off the pale-gray coat of the unicorn across from her, making it seem pristine alabaster instead. Light blue eyeliner drew attention to the sapphire orbs that stared back with tenderness that was quickly becoming a common sight in the past few months.

The blue eyes in return traveled over the mare across from her, tracing the muscles hidden under the orange coat, noting the apprehension there. Remaining mute, the fashion designer leaned forward, resting a delicate hoof on the table to prop her head on as she continued observing the other mare.

Both mares used the shortened distance to inhale the other’s scent subtly. Taking an even larger breath, savoring the berry and apple perfume, the earth pony sat up straighter. Her left hoof twitched as she remembered having left her trusty stetson at home for the occasion, taking her ability to adjust it in her anxiety.

“S-sugarcube…?”

“Yes, darlin’...?” The tailor mused, stressing the endearment, while she stared unblinkingly to the other mare.

“Ah… Ah brough ya here to ask ya somethin’...”

A New Kind of Party

The two mares sat on the wooden porch, raised several stories above the ground. Tree branches swayed in the gentle breeze, blocking some of the sunlight that shone down, while gentle snickering floated on the wind. A red and white blanket rested under the pink and lavender ponies. Empty plates sat in front of them, crumbs evidence to the meal they had shared.

The unicorn leaned into the puffy mane of the earth pony on her left, sighing contently. Reaching up, she nuzzled right under the pink ear, drawing another giggle from her marefriend. Sky blue eyes turned towards the librarian with a teasing glint in them.

“OooOOoohhh, so it’s a tickle battle huh? I. Am. The. Tickler!” Pinkie turned on her side, wrapping both hooves around the other’s barrel and wiggling them up and down.

Twilight turned the other way, using her own hooves to push away the ‘Tickler’ with little success. Unable to hold back her laughter, she tried to wiggle out of the way when Pinkie shook as well, looking confused and stopping her assault.

“P-heh heh heh-... Pinkie… Pie…?” The lavender mare straightened from her curled position, staring at the pink baker whose mouth opened with surprise.

A second later and Pinkie shook once again, limbs and fur standing out and inflating before shrinking once more. The spasm caused her to stand upright and frown with concern to the door.

“A doozy…?” Blue eyes met purple as both mares went still, contemplating what it could mean.

“A doozy…? About what-?” Twilight began to get up as well only to stop when a young drake’s voice shouted from inside.

“Twilight! Twilight! There’s a message!” Spike’s cry grew louder as he rushed to where the two mares were. Bursting through the doorway, he held aloft a tightly sealed scroll with ‘urgent’ in bold on top.

Pulling it from his grasp with levitation, the unicorn unfurled the message and began to read it out loud.

“My dearest Twilight, I need you and your friends for an important mission-”

.... Please, please! Put those pitchforks and scorching howlers away! My editors (aye, Shutup88 has joined the team to bring you better quality stories) didn't know I had planned this and there was no grammar checking for these previews... Oh, you demand the chapters themselves and are not raging about the grammar? Driven with burning curiosity of what the hay each of them are doing?
Ooooh, well, that's sometime that time can help with. We'll get to those points, eventually. :pinkiecrazy::pinkiehappy: .......
Mwahahahahahahahahahahhaha! :rainbowlaugh:

Seriously though, I am working on the next update (for NSSSL no less) and shall hopefully have it up in a week in a half for sure! Pinkie Promise! /)-.O  Thanks for reading (if you made it this far without blowing up) and I'll see you around!

2842022 I know, so poetic. Told ya I'd make a mention of your help, influence and friendship. Thanks again mate. :pinkiehappy:

2842610 Awww, you don't like sneak peeks? Not even if I say they are not within the next 10 chapters or more? You're very likely to forget them before they even show up. :pinkiehappy:

Though yeah, I figured they had grammar issues. I didn't want to spend a lot of time on it, because I wanted to get that SL chapter under way. oh well. I'll just have to figure out other ways to tease you and other impressionable readers :derpytongue2:

2842610 and in truth, nothing is really revealed in this, consider it like that first trailer for an ambiguous movie.
