I hope that when the world comes to an end, I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to.

    A Year in (Movie) Review

Peppered throughout my stories are various references to films and movies, as I'm sure several of you guys noticed (A Dare's Truth has several ponified versions of movies, and Scootaloo and The Cabinet of Seers has a few references as well). I love movies - I go once, sometimes twice, a week to the local theater to see a new movie! It's gotten to the point where the Tuesday staffer recognizes me

The True Gift of Gifting (PS4 game giveaway)

    Happy December, everyone!

Recently, during some impulsive electrical repairs, a member of the family accidentally damaged my Playstation 4's power supply to the point where the console could only communicate via the slow steady pulsing blue light of death.

    Bronycon 2019

Well, like thousands of folks here, I will be attending Bronycon this year!

I had hoped to get a new chapter of Scoots and the Cab out to celebrate but it wasn't meant to be.

There are plenty of fanfiction panels at the convention, maybe I can learn a thing or two about timely writing and technique.

Fragments of fiction, and the validity of non-canon stories.

So, like many fans of the orange winged wonder, today was a momentous episode for Scootaloo. I teared up at a few moments, and although the episode was predictable, it was a feel-good episode that reaffirms just how special the Crusaders truly are.

    On Videogames and motivation

I'm reaching a tipping point with these videogames. I quite enjoy them, yes, and there is a massive disparity between the multitudes of games to play and the time available to play them. That's nothing new though; always has been, always will be.

My first finished story! · 6:53pm Feb 26th, 2015

Hey everyone,

Yesterday, I spent a considerable chunk of time working on finalizing the last chapter of "The Play's The Thing", and published it last night. I am incredibly happy with how it turned out. As of this writing, two people have commented that they teared up while reading, which is totally awesome - eliciting an emotional response from readers is the highest form of praise an author could ask for!

However, there's a pretty awesome guy to thank for the story making it's way to you. No, not me, I'm not that conceited. Pre-reader and moral supporter, RaylanKrios! Had he not been so super duper helpful every step of the way (and inspired me by how insanely efficient he is at churning out content of his own), I can safely say that the last chapter would still be sitting in stasis, waiting for me to gather the motivation necessary to chip away at it. So, to paraphrase the story, take a bow, Raylan - You totally earned it.

The Play's The Thing, particularly the last chapter, was a really neat way to experiment with intermingling two stories at once, creating parallels between them. I hope the absolutely ridiculous (and sometimes apocalyptic) racial slurs from the tribe leaders come across as just as absurd as the slander surrounding same-sex couples today. Finding ways to insult the different races of ponies and show off the ignorance of how close minded and hateful the leaders were was a lot of fun to do.

Though the story is not nearly as sprawling as Scootaloo & The Cabinet of Seers, there's still some cool circular narrative stuff worked in that I'm pretty proud of that are peppered throughout (example: Cheerilee's question about her student's parents races, and the respective races of Magistrate Warren's parents were deliberate) and other such references that I consider "clever". I guess I really am that conceited!

At any rate, this story was a lot of fun to do. I apologize it took so long to get the entire thing out when it barely capped out at 25,000 words, but I hope it was worth it to you faithful readers.

I have some ideas bouncing around in my head for other new stories that I may or may not conduct a poll in the future (Play's The Thing came about as the result of a poll in my blog), but I have to finish Blooming Backwards, continue with Scootaloo & The Cabinet of Seers, as well as getting the ball rolling on a nifty collaboration.

Until next time,

HMXTaylorLee

I look forward to reading more of your work. You write extremely well.

Congrats, I should probably head over to that story so I can read it.

But, if you ever need anything, you know my name. (If you have no clue who I am, I used to be called TheParadoxPony)

That was a pretty good story, i'll have to check out some of you other works in the future.

Of course I know who you are - the one who voted this story into existence! I hope you enjoy the story!

A word to everyone who just read this. I'm actually not that helpful, so please take Taylor's deceleration of my contributions with a massive grain of salt.

To everyone who read RaylanKrios' comment, it's a falsehood.

He's VERY helpful!
