An Announcement that You've All Been Waiting for · 5:24am Feb 11th, 2015
At least once every couple of weeks or sometimes even more often than that, I am asked "Are you making another sequel to Not a Monster?" or "When will the next Not a Monster be coming out?" It sounds like you're all tired of waiting, so after I finish editing my next fic and posting it, that's what I'll be working on next! ...In all honesty, all of the asking isn't really why I'm finally doing it. Here's the truth, a true experience that I'm sure every writer has to struggle through at some point or another. I had an ending planned out, I knew exactly where I was headed but suddenly, it didn't feel right at all. It no longer fit with the story. It seemed wrong to end it in such a way. I absolutely hated it. I was stuck. I didn't like what I had and was unsure of exactly how to start over from scratch. I wanted to finish it, but I couldn't. I gave up, even after I had told so many of you I was going to finish it, I wasn't going to do it. Then suddenly, a couple of days back, early in the morning, an idea randomly popped into my mind. I don't know exactly where it came from or why it even came up, but there it was, the beginning of the end, and that's definitely not bad like it sounds. It was what I wanted, exactly what I wanted. I continued to think and think and boom! There it was, the final tale in the Not a Monster trilogy, completely different than I had originally planned it to be but sooo much better. Now it just needs to be stretched out into a story. Warning: I'm not saying I will be releasing this anytime soon, but just know that I will be working on it.

I love you so much! Every week I was checking to see if there was anything new, though I didn't want to bother you, I figured it'd be better to let you sort everything out on your own. I can't wait to see what you come up with! In the meantime, I'm going to check out your other work!
So what was the original idea for an ending which you hated?
Now that you're not using that idea, can you just tell us?
Sounds excellent, sometimes our greatest ideas will spawn from literally the back of our minds at unknown times. Regardless, I do hope whenever you work on it, it'll go smoothly.
