And So I Join the Ranks--First Story Up!

Man, I do not handle anticipation well. I said I was going to check it no more than once an hour--constant rechecking and refreshing ahoy!

*rolls eyes* It's silly, but I'm stupidly excited to have my first story accepted--even if it doesn't turn out to be popular, or even if I get actively negative feedback, it's still a pretty awesome achievement, personally speaking. It feels like the first major step (aside from writing the thing, heh), is what I'm trying to get at, I think.

And now to get to work on my next story and/or Chapter 1 of Heart of Chaos.

Also, also, also! I'm sending out a general request for an artist--I'd really like to add a cover page, but I've reservations on not using a custom designed piece. Probably stupid and proud of me, but what are ya gonna do?

I'm bloody broke, though. Living in the middle of nowhere is not helpful in finding employment.

So, I'm offering an art trade--as baffling as that may be as a writer; also as laughably presumptuous that is considering I'm a complete unknown. One cover page for my story done to my designs (within reason, of course. I'm no visual artist.) in return for...oh, what, 3-5K words of fiction to your designs? You've got a story idea, preferably a general outline, but don't know if you can fill in the blanks? Give me a shot at it. In return for one measly picture. I dunno, sounds like a deal to me.

Anyways, here I am. My first piece is up and out. Here's to the future.

~~Workin' On It (realize I needed another go-between here: these are stories that I am actively writing, but it may still be a few days or even weeks before it gets completed):
- Heart of Chaos -- Chapter 1 .... A historical fiction/origin story for our favorite Princesses and bringer of Chaos ... Late July-Early August

~~On the Burner:
- Written Legacy (tentative title) .... A series of stories starring an OC/partial pony-sona concurrent with the TV series itself; initial inspiration--who was running the Ponyville library before Twilight showed up? ... Will begin sometime in early to mid July

~~Inception and Pre-Planning:
- A Daring Do adventure tale

~~On the Horizon:
- A VinylTavia ship/possibly origin tale (if I can think of something original since there are a lot of already excellent ones out there)
- A ship fic (failing the above VinylTavia one, or maybe included) (probably starring OCs, but my opinion on shipping canon cast characters may have changed by then)
- A crossover fic or two (most likely candidate is the Dresden Files (since I know that can work and I love that series almost as much as FiM), but I've been loosely thinking on a Mass Effect one as well)
- A true mystery fic (this may be unlikely. In the style of a Nero Wolfe novel, because it wasn't going to be hard enough as is.)
