Writing Resources + Pictures + Music · 3:50pm Jan 24th, 2015
Figured I'd post some resources that might be of particular use for people writing FIMFic stories. Anatomy charts, facial expressions, and real horse information will be posted.

What's My Horse Saying? Interpreting Horse Sounds
Horse behavior stuff, quite useful to know when to write 'Finders Keepers nickered'.

Frequently Asked Questions About Irradiated Mail
Radiological information, which I used to see if books (and thereby paper) can be radioactive for long periods of time. The answer is 'not really'.

Another body language and equine behavior page.

The use of quotation marks and correct punctuation used to be a big source of trouble for me, especially when I first started writing.

More body language and sounds of horses.
Self explanatory.

This is what I used to have Kiako Lalene and Finders Keepers drugged with before they were brought to the motel.

Eagle eyesight. While eagles have great eyes, their sense of smell and hearing are not the best. The same likely applies to griffons.

Useful guide for people writing characters with Royal Guard armor. Maybe not so useful for lighter armors.

Posted because I do a lot of thinking of how Equestrians may fight wars, and barding and clothing are always on my mind. A bowl shaped helmet wouldn't quite work for equins

Well, that's all pretty amazing, how did you get all of this?
2744853 In certain parts of my story, I'd stop, and do research. Lots of google searches. I didn't simply want to do 'Finders Keepers looked at the creature angrily', but more like 'Finders Keepers ears pinned to the side, and her hoof pawed the ground'.
My editor and I had a long conversation about griffon reproduction, for no real reason. The verdict was that griffons laid eggs, in a similar fashion to the platypus.
