    Equestria at War

Not too many people follow me, but I can’t help but recommend a fantastic mod called Equestria at War. It’s a mod for Hearts of Iron 4, but somehow the modders made the game even more interesting. I highly recommend it.

To the Surprise of No One...

I am ashamed to say it only took me several years of not writing to put the 'Hiatus' tag on my first fimfic, Fallout Equestria: Foreigner. I love to death both series, but with the shut-down of half the crossover the story was based off of I've lost some of that spark. That's not to say it is cancelled, just that one day I'll pick it up again.

    Finishing What I Started

Hello everybody, I'm sure that some of you remember me! I'm excited (I actually got up out of bed because I was having a lot of trouble falling asleep, due to the rush) to announce that I'll be working on my story again, as well as trying to reintegrate myself into the fandom once more. I realize that my story has been left unattended for a very long time and that's unforgivable, especially for

Writing Resources + Pictures + Music

Figured I'd post some resources that might be of particular use for people writing FIMFic stories. Anatomy charts, facial expressions, and real horse information will be posted.

Changeling Sleeper Agents - An Idea · 7:40am Feb 1st, 2015

Putting this idea into words may be a bit difficult, so bear with me.

I was reading a thread on /mlp/ ( here ) , and the idea was that all people who enjoyed MLP were actually changelings, who had been in human form for a very long time.

From that thread, I went in my own direction and completely removed MLP from the setting.

Synopsis: Perhaps the changelings aren't originally from the same world that Equestria is on, and are very similar to how we might view locusts: moving on to one world and then the next. Except never before have they found a foe such as Equestria, for even though the love its citizens have for each other, their rulers are another story.

Unable to fully infiltrate the Equestrian government after a failed takeover, the changelings settle in for the long haul. There has been one windfall for the changelings however, and that is the discovery of the Crystal Mirror. Marshaling their strength, the changelings wait decades to gain enough man/pony/changeling power (eking out what basically amounts to subsistence living now that Equestria and the world is aware of changelings, and prepared to find them at any time) to swoop in to steal the Crystal Mirror from a fairly isolated Crystal Empire.

Now that the Crystal Mirror is in changeling hooves, they can now escape this world and move on to the next. Only one problem: Earth. While nowhere near as capable in detecting the changelings as Equestria and the other nations are, human beings are not so quick as to 'love thy neighbor' as Equestrians might be.

This causes complications, but nothing they haven't handled before. Still, the Canterlot Catastrophe is still fresh in the minds of changeling leadership, and plans are set in motion.

Phase 1: Massive emigration of changeling pairs to act as sleeper agents on Earth for an unknown amount of years, but likely for decades of not more. These pairs will be expected to raise families and integrate seamlessly into their respective communities, waiting several generations before their offspring weave their way into positions of power in the community's respective governments.

Phase 2: Ensure changeling presence in the highest echelons of Earthly societies, enough so that they control the fate of countless millions. This is not to be for any specific malevolent purpose though, and changeling leaders are to be charismatic individuals who not only earn the adoration of their citizens but also advance the cause of peace (and thereby love, in a roundabout way).

Phase 3: When the previous phases have been achieved, contact with Chrysalis (or whomever is in charge by this point, as there is no telling how long the sleeper agents took to achieve their goals) in order to plan the next stage and beyond.

Phase 4: The Crystal Mirror must be retaken by a nation that isn't Equestria (or the Crystal Empire), but also one that would be inclined toward what is to come. This must be done in a way that seems not only believable, but makes the claimants believe they've struck a mortal blow to the changelings.

Phase 5: Peaceful contact between Earth and 'Homeworld' (the world that Equestria and the other nations are on). Trade and peaceful relations are a top priority, and trust is to be fostered between the two worlds by any means necessary. During this time, changelings from Earth (who, due to the population density of the world are most likely able to provide significant numbers) will emigrate to Equestria (specifically Equestria, not just the nation that holds the Crystal Mirror).

Phase 6: Begin to sow distrust between the nations of Earth and Equestria, but not in any way that jeopardizes the link between worlds. The nations (on both sides of the Crystal Mirror) must be able to keep the link between worlds open at all costs, otherwise the entire plan would be a failure. This will continue until the political climate between Equestria and the other nations gets to the point where Equestria is seen in an unfavorable light, enough to damage not only reputation but also its economy. Continue until Phase 7.

Phase 7: With Equestria no longer the 'Cradle of Morality' of the Homeworld, Earth and the other Homeworld nations must begin ensuring legal rights for all races capable of sapience (with special attention paid to changelings). The goal of Phase 7 is to ensure that changelings can be seen in public without need of a disguise, and to create a trusting atmosphere between the changelings and all other races.

Phase 8: Propaganda campaigns "originating" (in reality by changeling infiltrators) from Equestria must begin at this point in response to Phase 7. To borrow from some of Earth's history, the propaganda must vehemently proclaim that Ponydom are the Master Race, and actual Equestrian citizens (who are now no longer in the wealthiest nation on the Homeworld and must now look to themselves for solidarity rather than the economic powerhouse that Equestria was in the past) are needed to take part in this, until the propaganda campaigns essentially run themselves without changeling support.

Phase 9: Backlash from other nations, whether they be violent or otherwise. Destruction of Equestria does not rely on something so simple as bloodshed, but rather of the country's identity as an empire that it once was.

Phase 10: Changeling existence on multiple worlds is assured, and at this point the 'locust lifestyle' is no longer required now that they no longer need to hide in the shadows, as a species.
