    Starlight Glimmer is Greatest Pony!

So yeah I wrote this silly parody of Starlight Glimmer based off of a song that parodies Vladimir Putin.

One mare has the strength of one thousand mares. Her sweat's made of stallion tears!
When you cut her out fly a swarm of wasps, Empress Starlight Glimmer!

    Reorganizing my projects.

So I've been thinking and I understand that I have buried myself too deeply in in story ideas and my overactive imagination and hyperactivity has gotten the better of me. So what I'm going to do is cancel most of my unfinished work with exceptions. Rise of Carthage and my WIP Fallout Equestria story I'll work on but unfortunately they will be put on indefinite hiatus until I can get myself

    Little tribute to Roger Moore

Well sadly famous British actor Sir Roger Moore passed away after a battle with cancer. For those of you who don't know, Roger Moore famously played James Bond in seven movies. He was also famous for playing characters in British tv series and his charity work for UNICEF.

You will be missed Sir Roger, you were one of my favorite Bonds.

    I only want peace....

After hearing all this bullshit about North Korea and Syria I'm scared and tired...

I'm tired of all this fighting, I'm tired of all this violence. There isn't much I can do other than play this famous song from Ace Combat 5 and hope that people will stop letting politicians run their lives and demand peace.

Wings of the Royal Equestrian Air Force. · 3:20am Jan 19th, 2015

Well since I covered the guns used by the ponies, I think I will list the planes that the REAF will be using to battle the Carthaginians. They will be using a combination of real life aircraft, and a few fictional planes. So here they are.

The Morane-Saulinier 406:

This was the first monoplane successfully adopted by the Royal Equestrian Air Force (their were others but they were either unreliable or obsolete by the 1930s). Armed with two 7mm machine guns and one 20mm cannon, it was originally conceived as being an interceptor however, when the Carthaginians invaded, it proved to be slower and less powerful than the BF 109s. It's armament and sturdy design did however make it a somewhat decent bomber interceptor and the Equestrians used them to that effect. With the help of other fighter escorts, the 406 was used to intercept Carthaginian bombers and gliders.

The Supermarine Spitfire:

Nicknamed the "Pegasus" this plane came out at just the right time, as the Carthaginian army was marching across. The Spitfire was made as an attempt to keep up with the advanced technology used by the Carthaginians and it did. Initially armed with four 7mm machine guns, although later two 20mm cannons would be added, the Spitfire was a vast improvement over the older MS 406. What made the Spitfire so legendary was its ease to fly and it's great maneuverability. Carthaginian pilots were surprised by the introduction of this new fighter themselves too calling them "Celestia's Lucky Shot". However while the Spitfire was a great fighter it still had its shortcomings. It didn't have a very good range limiting its long range use and while it could out turn the 109s and FW 190s used by the Carthaginians, it couldn't out dive them or out climb. But still, this fighter was a big threat to the Carthaginian Air Force and it forced them to rethink new fighter formations.

The Curtiss P-36 Hawk:

When it became clear that the MS 406 was not suitable for the ideal fighter, the Royal Equestrian Air Force needed new planes and fast. Because the Spitfire was still being mass produced and their numbers limited, the Equestrians needed to find away to acquire as many new planes as possible. They turned to a friendly human nation called the United Republic of Columbia who agreed to lease the Equestrians weapons. One of the first weapons they were given was the Curtiss P-36 "Hawk". The Hawk proved to be much better than the MS 406, it was lighter and faster and could fly with great ease. But it still had heavy flaws. For one thing, it wasn't very armed, it only had two .50 caliber machine guns. It's engine was also unreliable and was prone to failure especially at high altitudes and it couldn't take a lot of damage. Despite having some early successes in the Equestrian Royal Air Force, once better fighters were introduced, the P-36 was quickly removed from frontline services, although it did see widespread use as a training fighter.

The P-40 Warhawk:

Nicknamed the "Fire Dragon" by the Equestrian ponies, the P-40 was another lendlease fighter from the Columbians and it was a vast improvement over the P-36. The P-40 was slower and less maneuverable than the Spitfire or the P-36 but it was armed to the teeth with six .50 caliber machines guns plus an optional 250kg bomb. It was also a very durable capable of flying through flak, anti-air fire, and enemy fighters. In fact, it was so tough that it may have inspired the Carthaginians to switch from using the 7.92 as their main fighter machine gun to the 13mm MG131. Even with the introduction of the Spitfire, the Equestrians loved the P40 that they continued to order more of them.

The Swordfish biplane:

I know what you're thinking, "that thing doesn't even look like it deserves to fly alongside a kite!" Well this plane is definitely an older model but don't let that fool you. Originally designed as a torpedo bomber, it was later reassigned as both a naval and air reconnaissance aircraft. However, it did carry bombs and torpedoes for opportunistic purposes, but other than that, it is mostly a recon plane, but a damned good one due to its ability to fly lower than enemy flak gun fire.

The PBY Catalina:

Another plane given to the Equestrians courtesy of the Columbians. This fat ass plane is actually mostly used by the Equestrian Royal Navy as a reconnaissance plane, anti submarine, and most importantly, a rescue plane. Versatile and good at its job, many pony sailors and downed pilots owe their life to this plane. Not much more to say.

The P-39 Airacobra:

Armed with four 7mm machine guns, two .50 calibers, and a devastating 37mm cannon this interesting Columbian leased plane was given to the Equestrians to actually experiment with new plane designs. However when the Carthaginians attacked, the Airacobra was quickly adopted and took to the sky. But it had a very mixed reaction, it lacked the maneuverability of the spitfire nor the long range and durability of the warhawk. To help lighten the load, the Equestrians added a turbocharger and removed the 7mms and some of the armor. While this did make the plane less durable, it did succeed in making the P39 capable of handling the fighters used by the Carthaginians. What made this sneaky little plane so dangerous was it's 37mm capable of smashing most planes and bombers down with one shot.

The Mosquito heavy fighter:

Nicknamed the Mozzie, the Mosquito is the fastest fighter the Equestrians have not even the Carthaginian Ta-152 fighter capable of catching up with it. Armed with four 7mm machine guns, four 20mm cannons and an array of bombs and rockets, this plane is commonly used as a night fighter and strike fighter. Made out of lightweight wood and other materials, this plane dives in at very fast speeds and can drop its payloads on enemy troops. However, what the Mosquito gains in speed, it loses in defense. Its wooden frame is very vulnerable to enemy cannon and machine gun fire so any pony who wishes to fly this must use their speed to dodge enemy fire instead of relying on armor.

And that's all for now. The Equestrians do use Wellington and Lancaster bombers, but I think I'll stop here for now. Next time we get to see what the Carthaginians will dish out!

2744466 Are you dissing the 109?

2745541 Well there was a study done by a British team of avionics and using special flight simulators plus documented accounts of the planes, they concluded that overall, the BF 109 was the superior fighter. The only thing the Spitfire had over the 109 is turn speed. But the 109 was faster and had a better dive and climbing rate.

There is no such thing as "the best".
Each plane has its advantages and disadvantages, and it is up to the pilots to put them to use accordingly.
Had Hitler not wasted so many recources on all that pointless genocide, his useless projects, had he not interfered in the descisions of his generals, had he given the developement of the famed nazi super-weapons more time with a later start of the war, the war would have gone very differently.

guided anti-air missiles, fighter-jets, assault rifles, cruise missiles, whatever you would call the V2
There would have been all kinds of surprises.

2782877
After the start of Operation Barbarossa, the attack on the Soviet Union, and declaring ge state of war to the US war the outcome was already set.
Those mistakes could have been avoided,
but since Hitler was less than useless in general,
there is probably no reality in which he did not do those idiotic things.

At the time that the fighters were upgraded the german war machine was already being dismantled, it did not make much of a difference.

back on topic:
Both versions of the fighter are real,
but it is up to the OP to decide which one is used.
Besides, how good can you pilot a fighter with a pair of hooves?

2782920
Yes, OP is a faggot, I know.

How would non-Unicorn Ponies even use guns, or just about anything for that matter?

Italy would have been steamrolled the moment they tried, Japan could have perhaps pulled off that attack on Pearl Harbor, but would then get steamrolled, while Poland becomes russian through even more steamrolling.

2782987
Stalin was a monster, he would have happily sent millions to their guaranteed demise only to have a piece of cake.

2783029
He would have learned it the hard way.

2783045
Stalin is a brute, strong, big and resilient, but not very smart or fast.

2783081
Let him watch.:pinkiecrazy:

2783095
Do you have any ideas for new Doritos flavors?

2783104
I would prefer tuna if that was possible.:ajsleepy:

2783153
I was thinking about that, but I simply can not imagine how cheeseburger Doritos would taste...
...well, how were they?

2783162
One does not want the pickles to be so sour that they make the other aspects unrecognizable.

2783188
Many onion flavors of other chips have the same problem.:ajsleepy:
Are they hiding the fact that the other flavors are actually very bad?

2783201
Perhaps that is because you can simply spray onion juice on the food,
wait for it to dry, and then still have it taste like onions?
How come that it is called french onions?

2783224
Of course it is the soup.
It always is the damn soup!
...
What soup are you talking about?

2783249
I somehow felt inclined to obey to the holy orders of lord Shrek the almighty while reading that recipe...

2783081 Okay so you guys are having a conversation about WW2 which then evolved into a conversation about soup? :rainbowhuh:

2783097
2783095 Personally I wish they had Poutine flavored Doritos.

2783471 I plan too. But it looks very delicious. It's made of cheese french fries and gravy. We Wisconsinites practically live off of those dishes!

2783467
You have witnessed a phenomenon which often tends to occur in my presence.

yay i am a nerd and knew all of those by sight and automatically knew exactly what they were good at and how to kill them.
