Entanglement Rewrite and Other News · 10:51am Jan 14th, 2015
It has been eleven months since I announced the rewrite for Entanglement. Earlier tonight, I started to re-read the story, and after cringing my way through the first three chapters I came within a hair's breadth of pulling the story off life support entirely. I came so close that I actually had the beginning of this blog post typed out announcing the cancellation before I decided I owed it to those of you who enjoyed it to at least read it through before pulling the plug.
The good news is that I'm keeping Entanglement on the ventilator. The bad news is that it is currently not very high on my writing priority list, which I've outlined below.
1. Twilestia oneshot-complete, waiting to be edited when I have the time, most likely this weekend.
2. An episodic Royal Guard comedy, outlined and waiting to be written
3.Twilestia songfic based on previously written 'Disco' prompt-outlined and waiting to be written
4. Entanglement rewrite
5. Shining Armor's side of Second Chances
6. Prompts for Twidance/Twilestia/Chrysalight collabs
7. His Majesty's Dragon crossover
In the past two weeks, four separate ideas have pushed it down the list, including the current top three and Have A Safe Trip, Twilight. Entanglement is on the board, but it is subject to change, and the writing bug is a fickle thing. Anyone reading this can take this as a sign that comments really do help motivate authors, because it was the great comments I received from Second Chances that pushed me into my latest writing frenzy.
At this point I'm going to try to work my way down the list, and certain things might move up or down as my motivation and inspiration changes. We will have to see how it goes, but that is the status of things as they currently stand.
An additional bit of bad news for some of you: Angels in Equestria is officially cancelled. Between Entanglement and everything else, I'm afraid I just don't have the time to even entertain the notion that it might one day be completed.
