Okay folks, confession time. I have completely lost control of my story. I had a feeling that it had gone off the rails as far back as chapter 7 and I've been riding inertia ever since. So, this is my official announcement of a rewrite. Unfortunately, at this point the other options are starting from scratch or completely abandoning the project altogether. All of you reading this have stuck with this story for as long as January of last year, and I refuse to let it end in disappointment for you, so this is what is going to happen:
PHASE 1: Everything at least as far back as Chapter 7, possibly further, will be put on the new ArguingPizza's Scrap Files, pending site approval. APSF will probably also feature some other stuff that never made the finish line to become stories. What I have completed of Chapter 16 will also be placed here.
PHASE 2: Starting at the beginning and moving up to wherever I decide the loss of control was, I will be going over the story with a fine toothed comb. Anyone is not only welcome but encouraged to help and point out any mistakes they find.
PHASE 3: The resumption of new material.
I'm sorry, but I failed as a writer. I forgot what this story was supposed to be about, and let it turn into basically war porn. I've stalled where I am, so I need to advance along a new path. The cast is going to be trimmed, because at this point the story is about the plot, not the characters. The best piece of writing advice I've ever read was 'A good story isn't a plot. Its a tale of characters going through experiences.'
your not a failure of a writer, Entanglement is on of the stories that I look really forward to updating.
even if it takes longer; if the rewrite improves the story go for it.
