So... I know I promised I'd have the new chapter ready this week. NOPE.
Everything that could possibly hold me up this week has indeed happened. I've been kinda sick all week: between food poisoning and migraines, I've felt just bad enough where I can't do anything when I'm at home, yet not bad enough to justify calling in sick at work lol... Hell, I just crashed when I got home today, and finally woke up about an hour ago mostly headache free.
Being able to stream Periphery's new album before it officially releases next week is helping some, though lol. (Link here: Periphery II- This Time It's Personal. Anyway... I'm roughly halfway through the next chapter. But yeah, sorry for the delay, I'm going to bust my ass to try to finish it soon. Depending on where I decide to end this chapter, there's at most one more chapter and possibly an epilogue left before this story is over and I start seriously planning for a follow-up story. I still occasionally get messages from you guys wondering when the next update is coming, and that is damn flattering that you guys enjoy this stuff so much lol.
Meanwhile... I'm gonna go get something to drink, and if I'm not fully awake again by then, I'm just going to go back to sleep and pick up writing again over the weekend. I've had a long week, lol.

I understand of everything that's gotten your way into writing your chapter. I hope you'll feel better than ever, and don't let the headache ruin up your mind while progressing your story though.

And yeah, Periphery is amazing. I bought their first album back in 2010 and I've been addicted to it ever since. I listen to it every day and I'm losing my mind waiting for this new one haha. I've seen them live twice, always a fun show. Even got to meet them once! They signed my CD

And speaking of... I'm almost done with the last chapter, should have it done tonight or tomorrow, and then I'll write up an epilogue. Over all, this last update is probably going to break the 20K word marker lol. Currently at like 15.5K, and I can easily see another 5K or so before I'm done.
Assuming proofreading goes by quickly and with no major revisions, I should, at the latest, have this thing ready and posted by the middle of next week.
