I realize most of you probably don't care, but I just got some good news that I'm pretty stoked about...

I found out Cisco, (the networking hardware company), is interviewing me for a full-time position tomorrow!

Dude, you do realize I wrote most of the last story while I was working at Intel, right? Haha. Besides, I haven't gotten a job yet, it's just an interview. Relax, I still plan on doing my writing.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't tell you guys I'd actually gotten several job offers (one from Verizon's engineering dept) last month . Turned them all down though heh.

And just what's wrong with Verizon? They gave me a solid offer, and the technology and services they work with are amazing if you're into RF and network optimization. The only reason I turned them down is because I want to get a job closer to the city my college is in so that I can continue on to get my Masters degree.

Eh, if I've learned anything from my time spent in the corporate world so far, is that you can't always rely on the veracity of stuff like that. I read all the time what a great company Intel supposedly is (they do make some incredible products) but my experience and that of others differs quite markedly.

Though, a funny thing, apparently Verizon and Verizon Wireless are two separate companies; it was actually Verizon Wireless I was getting involved with.

Actually wound up with a different company lol... Didn't get a second interview after all with Cisco because they wanted me to move to South Carolina and I didn't want to leave Atlanta.

It all worked out though haha.
