Windows 8.1 · 10:32pm Dec 28th, 2014
Yeah I know it has been out for a while now, but today was my first time ever using a laptop that had it. I will say this. Fuck that motherfucking operating system. It can go suck infected goat cock. I could barely use the damned thing. The only way I knew to close anything was using alt+f4. It kept leaving the desktop view and going to that holy hell retarded looking random sized icons.
What in the hell was Microsoft thinking? it might have been slightly easier to navigate with a touch screen laptop, but still that does not make up for the utter retardedness of the entire experience. I hope when this Windows 10 crap comes out they get it back to like Windows 7 was, or I will just keep using that.
Sorry about the rant, it just made me want to throw my friends laptop out the damned window.
Unfortunate typo
I SERIOUSLY hope you meant "it."
2684049 AAARRGGGG see its got me so mad I cannot type worth a damn. Not that I can usually anyways. I fixed it, thanks for telling me.
2684050 Lol, you should know I meant it. I say that saying all the time.
So Windows 8.1 is the virus you got infected with then, eh?
Just be safe for us, okay, and use protection!
2684659 I fixed my typo... you know just as much as Level Dasher how crappy of a typer I am.
As for y computer itself going bonkers last night, I figured it out. Stupid dvd player software tried to update and the download was bad or something causing it to error out but still try to do it. So it kept trying to launch the update processes over and over.
Is it the interface that's bothering you? Cause that's bothering everyone and there are ways to change it. I'm currently sitting pretty with a classic Windows XP-layout
2725374 Not my laptop to go changing things on it. It's my friends laptop I was using. Also, if you have to jump through a bunch of hoops just to make it usable, or at least look like an older more familiar OS, then Microsoft screwed the pooch.
For Win8.1 issues just install a free program called Classic Shell. It solved nearly every problem I had with Win8. (Mind you, I upgraded to Win8 directly from XP, so I have little knowledge of what I might be missing out of from VIsta and 7.)
I'm also running Win10 in a virtual machine on my Win8.1 laptop and it does fix a number of Win8.1 issues. Not all of them, but many. And Classic Shell should also run on Win10 anyway.
Classic Shell (and other programs similar to it) will let you customize the start menu, file explorer and Internet Explorer (if you actually use IE) to be like they were in XP, VIsta, or Win7. You can even pick and choose features from each operating system to be exactly the way you want.
