I feel like Headless Not Brainless has taken a few weird turns. And I know the pacing has always been a bit fast (I'm an impatient fuck, I know) So, he's a quick recap if you don't mind spoilers.
Jason moves to Ponyville, still secretly hoping he'll find some friends.
Find body of headless horse.
Headless body leads it back to the decapitated head.
Rehabilitation, few trust building chapters.
Go to Cosmic's home town to try and figure out what happened.
Stumbles upon alt reality research along with a whole bunch of other morally questionable research material in Storm Side.
In a fervored panic Jason slices his head off in the same way as Cosmic.
Quick study of how to fix the decapitated thing.
Cosmic glues her head back on.
Jason slices off her head again, not wanting to lose the independent personality in the body.
Jason gets his ass kicked by the now body bound Cosmic.
Chats with Dust while trying to sort out how to fix body problems.
Jason goes full Occam's razor after seeing a dead version of himself in Storm Side and decides on his approach to finding spare Cosmic parts.
Go to Canada to avoid snapping his body reality jumping (Rubber band theory, cross too many portals from your original world and you'll die).
Goes through portal after portal looking for spare bits. His body eventually goes the route of Cosmic and Dust and develops its own personality.
Finally finds a pegasus that is close enough to fit the bill.
Botched fusion ends up with four ponies and two humans.
Quick scuffle between the freshly rebuilt mares.
Weird cross dimensional look into the future.
And yes...I know it's weird, a little convoluted, and not my best work. But to be perfectly honest it's a lot of fun so I'll probably keep going with it.

Ehhh if I could be honest, I stopped reading about halfway wanting to focus on other fics I need to catch up on, and I kinda forgot about this one.
Although I think uh... maybe I'll skip out on this one now. The weird dimension thing just weirds me out. Sorry.
You started off with a headless pony and a guy that acted like it was practically normal. Then gave the headless body her own personality distinct from the head.
Everything else just kinda keeps up the sanity trend previously established. Which is a load of really weird shit. Could use more fleshing out though.

Your choice. honestly I don't think I could have handled such weirdness much better.
I'm glad to hear that. I was beginning to fear that this story (and perhaps others) were becoming more tedious than fun for you to write. I've seen few things that kill an author's creativity and will to continue stories than having it feel like a chore.
I've enjoyed this story and many of the others you have written. Thank you for continuing to share them.
Yah going to have to say while fast and random as hell, out of all your other fics this is my favorite l out of all of them. Can't wait to see how ponies freak out about the new Alicorns. I could see them putting Cosmic on Wingacide watch.
