Story Incoming and Updates! · 6:45pm Dec 26th, 2014
To start off: Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy Kwanzaa/If you don't celebrate any of the above, happy holiday season! Sorry it's a bit late but I was busy with my own holidays.
Next on the docket are thanks. I now have two stories at over 1000 upvotes each, 500+ followers, over 1,500 comments on my stories, and what to me is an absolutely absurd number of views. I'm supremely flattered, thank you all. While I do this for fun, a very large amount of that fun is making you people smile and to improve your day. To have concrete numbers that indicate that... well, it makes me all warm and fuzzy. Thank you.
Also thanks to my pre-readers and editors, Anhero for nitpicking my grammar and spelling, my newest (Buddy ole pal ole chum) PandoraBoxable for being both an idea generator and another set of eyes, as well as coordinating the wonderful cover art for Consequences, and Aburi for having been with me for such a long time and putting up with my facehoof worthy ideas and brainstorming sessions. He in particular has been the one to take the newspaper to my head for stupid ideas and reigning in my herd of plot bunnies, so tons of thanks for putting up with me.
Anyways! Emotional gushing out of the way!
Consequences of Darkness (Still a work-in-progress title unfortunately) is on track to be up soon, probably new years just for the significance. It's in final nitpicking mode, and the only reason it hasn't been posted is because I want to polish it to a near mirror shine since it can be a new entry point to the series for people.
There hasn't been a ton of progress on Taking Turns unfortunately. I haven't had the inspiration to get my clop on. And while I can force dryer humor and more serious situations like what Emeris tends to have going on, any romance I try to force out will come across as lacking that vital spark.
So there we go fillies and colts! Updates and thanks and a kinda-sorta-incoming-but-still-late Christmas present (if you're into that kind of thing)!

I'm looking forward to Consequences of Darkness. I really enjoyed how the date and wrapping up chapters went (contrary to some criticism that you were dragging out Emeris' phobias, I felt it flowed naturally), I didn't think it was possible for an end to the story that soon, but you managed to find a natural breaking point for it. Unfortunately I'm getting the impression he may have just traded one extreme (hatred) for another (fear) from the townsponies, hence the title of the new story?
Or something else, after all Sombra (and the wedding?) haven't happened yet as far as I'm aware. The storyline of MLP was put in stasis during Gary's reign. And Sombra is a good contrast to Emeris as far as the dangers of Black Magic go.
Well, well, well, I suppose I shall do as I always do: sit here in my corner and wait impatiently for new content. With my bottle of champagne ready at a moment's notice.
Is Shining Armor going to make an appearance as more than a cameo? I suspect tensions if so.
