    It never ends. It just...never...ends...

So work decided to throw another curve ball at me. My supervisor has been transferred to another store. That means that I've had six supervisors in my department across six years, and it could take weeks, maybe even months, for us to get a new one. Which means I'm going to continue to be worked to death.

    So, I'm writing again.

It's not much, but I got some writing done today. Now, be warned, it's going to be a very long time before I do anything related to the Quiververse again, but I'm hoping that time frame will be measured in months rather than a year.

Still, at least I'm making some progress.

    A question to my readers.

When I started serious work on the Quiververse, I made myself a promise. That promise was thus, to do the best I can to use whatever characters appear in a story to the best of my ability. I like to think I've done that, as various canon characters are reasonably consistent with their portrayals in the show (and arguably are undergoing development, though that's up to the reader), and my OCs have

    Been a little bit.

So yeah, it's been a while. I guess I get to share a little news.

First off, I'm making a little progress on finding a new place. I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I'm pre-approved for a mortgage, and now I'm talking to realtors. If I'm lucky, by the end of this summer, I'll have found a place and moved into it.

    Just a random question.

Does anyone re-read my stuff? Just go back and refresh their memories regarding my storyline? I'm curious.

Oh, and what I was saying last time? I feel comfortable sharing it now - I'm pre-approved for a mortgage. I'm about to start househunting!

Merry Christmas to everyone on the site, especially those who bother to check these journal entries of mine. I wish I had something festive up for everyone, but the best I can do is post the edited and updated version of "A Light in the Dark". Here's hoping folks like it.

Alas, that story's pretty much everything I currently have in the can as far as site-relevant fiction is concerned. I have plans on writing more, mind you, continuing where the stories for my two OCs (Quiver Quill and Sunrunner) as well as that of Sunset Shimmer leave off, but aside from an in-progress story for Quiver and lots of ideas for all three characters, I've got nothing I'm ready to share.

Well, okay, I do have stuff I'm ready to share. I'll be posting a preview of my next Quiver Quill story, currently titled "New Horizon" (though I welcome suggestions for a better title). The plot's simple; he moves to Ponyville and settles in. Exactly how he gets there and what happens I'm keeping to myself, but I'll say this right now - there shall be muffins. :derpytongue2: I've got plans for further stories with him as well; concrete ones involving him, Pinkie Pie and family histories, him and Rainbow Dash having an adventure, him and the Cutie Mark Crusaders bonding over shared experiences, and him and Rarity attending his school reunion. A less concrete one involves Lyra Heartstrings and a certain pair of ponies who share a cutie mark...

As for my plans for Sunset Shimmer? The next story I'm going to work on with her comes immediately after "The Sun Also Rises"; it's tentatively titled "Six Nights (And a Day) With Sunset", and will have her spending one-on-one time with each of the other members of the Humane Five, plus assorted other characters as she settles into her new status quo. It'll delve a little into my headcanon for her backstory and how she came to be who she was as a student to Princess Celestia, and help to flesh out her family. Next after that is an adaptation of IDW's Holiday Special - I had mixed feelings about the comic, and want to shift it up a little to fit into my alt-verse - and then...well, let's just say she'll have a reunion eventually. This will eventually lead to my own version of "Rainbow Rocks"; it's not going to deviate from canon too much, but it will incorporate stuff from my storyline.

And Sunrunner? She'll pop up here and there, and I like to think astute readers will notice details in "A Light in the Dark" that are, if nothing else, highly suggestive.

It'll all culminate in a story that I'm treating as my grand finale. What will that feature? Nightmares. Chaos. Insanity. Also, a wedding.

And I'm tossing around ideas for crossovers with Doctor Who and Harry Potter while I'm at it. The former will probably happen, but the latter? We'll see.
