Thanksgiving For Me

I'm thankful for the things I do have.
I'm thankful for the people who love me.
I'm thankful for my luck and the benevolence of the people in the world who've seen fit to treat me as an equal human being worthy of compassion and respect.

I realize a lot of the perception of atheism is that it's 'belief in nothing', but I never saw it that way. I believe in people. I believe in recognizing one's fortunate aspects and sharing them if one can.

I know my life could have been very, very different if the people had been hard hearted or if my luck had gone worse.

I wish to emphasize this because the bad luck and bad treatment have thrown sharp light across the good luck and good people who've treated me well, and I cannot say it enough to them:

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
