Poll: Comic or Traditional · 11:13pm Nov 25th, 2014
So, for this next chapter of Becoming Whole, I have the inkling to try something new and daring, but I would need your opinion and support. First, since I already completed one fourth of the chapter and all of the story boarding for the next 3, I have just enough narration to make a type of tumblr comic instead of a traditional chapter. If I want to do this, however, I will need your support and possibly even your help should you feel the desire to draw. Please leave your opinion on this below with "Comic" or "Traditional." This will take but a moment of your time and will allow me to bring you exactly what you want.
I would say 'comic' unless it will be a horrid time sink, in which case 'traditional' would be the better option.
Traditional, comic would take you about, maybe 2 weeks to a month, depending on your free time, to draw 1 scene of about 200 words, that is counting you have all the stuff and support to draw the comic, im talking about 1 page of about 7-9 frames, like a traditional comic page.
Traditional. Something is lost between pure text and pictures. The readers imagination is almost always better than an artists brush. Definitely deeper.
Why not both? You will have in that way great possibilty to look whats more is closer to what you wanted to do.
but overall traditional, you can't do a lot of thing in comic panels that you can in text (and same otherway), tumblrs is good for things like ask stories or fluffle puff there is very small amount of interesting more serious stories ( and most of them have comedy in it anyway to make it bearable)
I also think Traditional is better. If you feel like it, maybe add some illustrations to the story? It will be less work and the impact will be the same.
