Words of Love · 11:50pm Nov 11th, 2014
In case you were curious, Greek has four words for 'Love'. Philia is the word for love which implies friendship or sibling-hood. Eros, as I hope is obvious, is romantic or passionate love. (Fear not. I have no plans of delving into erotic fiction. Write what you know, ya know?) Storge (which I mistakenly had as stogé, but I caught and fixed it), is the love between parent and child.
Agape, which I didn't feel appropriate to reference in this story, is love between God and humans. I'm not prepared to have either Celestia or Luna be godesses.
I mentioned that I like words, yes?
This is rather late, but it seems that Agape could be applied to other forms of loving something greater than oneself. Love of country or ideals would work.
