    Actually nice content

Have a look at this lovliness.

Remember a while back when I made some Hearths' Warming content, the pony version of Santa and the Krampus. It was a nice thing, a happy thing. The opposite of caribou and zebras. And I finally got something drawn on that subject. The Hearthkeeper, Kampfite, and their Pooka wives Klåsa and Kråmpa.

Why I stopped (and might not restart)

It's a short answer. They broke me. Given some replies in the past, I can actually say to some readers, you broke me.

    I finally found it

Way back when, at the start of the Fall there was one specific image I was mining for context before I had more primary sources. It colored the entire perception of the caribou and gave rise to the ultra-harsh depictions as literal Nazis, and also why I hammer their racism so hard. If you happen to notice, all the women are ponies, and some men as well. Other species don't exist EXCEPT acceptable

    Placed in the monster pen

A popular setting for horror anything is the haunted asylum. See, it was filled with crazy people. Crazy people are all sociopathic professional serial killers, and when they die they all turn into ghosts with have an insatiable drive to kill stupid teenagers. Nevermind that the inmates of asyla generally had even fewer rights and protections than even regular prisoners for a ridiculously long

Help needed from Fallout: New Vegas fans

It's no secret I'm a strong Black Isle fanboy. I believe in the purity of Fallout one and two. It had the retrofuturistic feel and look of the old atompunk pulps, the senseless exuberance and clean lines of streamline moderne and Googie mixed with B-Movie sci-fi and all the little idiot lies that made it fun. There was a frivolousness to it. A joyous abandon when designs aped Mad Max, when people

Seriously...

I get it. I'm a furry from a long time back. I know that the instinct for gay and bisexual creative types that like a character is to make the favored character gay as well, usually with a tragic backstory. Or just nice muscles and a generous genitals. That... tends to happen a lot. And I know because, like I've said, I've seen it for years. But as well, one cannot escape the power of the yaoi fangirl that wants boys to kiss. The popularity of this can be seen by the number of yaoi manga. In English. In Japanese it's even more, but I will be looking at a specifically American cultural backdrop.

I also get the concept of memetics, probably better than most. Now, I have no formal, classroom experience, but I have given it a good bit of study. And I understand how some memes can be integrated into the greater memeplex even if they might not fit well or may be inappropriate. See Fallout: Equestria and Cupcakes.

Now, specifically I'm talking about the "Gayburn" meme, and also considering, on the side, the Soarburn ship. He's a very pretty male, and had a speaking role. A few folk latched onto that and, by simple luck of the draw the gay and bisexual types and the yaoi fangirls got to him and decided that he was the biggest bishounen in a pastel wonderland. So, he was the man-whore. Soarin came along at the end of the first season, a charming, somewhat-pretty goof. Ideal for latching and putting together with the pre-created super-homosexual prettyboy. As a side-note, my own group, the yuri fans, removed the one mitigating factor holding back Gay Soarin, by immediately and almost violently shipping Spitfire and Rainbow Dash. So, in some sense, mea culpa.

I think, as well, as it was becoming a meme, neutral parties found it funny. Amusement in an excellent way of integrating new elements into the memeplex. They can come into broader appeal and attract more votes of confidence. The support of neutral parties, who are numerous, made the meme extremely widespread and popular. It was funny. And funny sells. But funny doesn't necessarily write stories or draw pictures. But with more support and fostering, the ones serious about it can make it so.

Sorry about the ramble. But I am actually starting to get sick of Gayburn. Heck, I found it funny too. Then I was wowed by the wide spread, but still laughed and said, "Ok, now for real, where's the Little Strongheart stuff?" Then came confusion. Then slight annoyance mixed with boredom. Gayburn was actually getting dull and contrived. Finally, I have reached the point of just being sick of it. It's just too much as far as I am concerned. Still, just my opinion.

Someone, anyone, get some mroe Little Strongheart out there.

My chaste yaoi (is that even possible?) romantic fantasies - such as they are - revolve entirely around Caramel and Big Mac. I've never understood the appeal of Braeburn. Yes, Braeburn wears a vest, and everypony knows vests are for gay colts and dyke fillies. Nopony hetero would stack books like that. Oh, wait, that's Ghostbuckers, isn't it? Silly me. Baragon... no that's a monster. Braeburn, that's what this is about, I remember now - Braeburn, no, no, that's not how you spell Caramel.

Ah... Caramel. And Big Mac. Sigh. Wait! What were we talking about again? Oh, yes - how Little Strongheart should definitely do the Venus Buffalo with Braeburn and make little Aaaapaloosas together. I'm down with that. :pinkiehappy:

I am so glad you approached this with humor. :pinkiehappy: But you know... You are the second asexual artist/writer yaoi fan I have known in my life. Man, what are the odds? ... Are you 'Kitsune' Atkisson, the one that wanted me to call her little sister because she called me big brother? Man, I miss her. :pinkiesad2:

Anyhow... Heee! Not all that long ago I, too, was TOTALLY into Caramac. I still have pictures on my phone of adorable Caramac. And I STILL find Caramac stories cute. I have some favorited. But as you can tell by "The Plaything" and "Anniversary" I've thrown my canon hat into the Macinpants ring. I dunno. Being in love with a plush doll he has seen alive only once seems slightly more tragically beautiful than a furtive male/male love. BUT, your mileage may vary. Use only as directed. :rainbowlaugh:

And as for M/M shippery, I have my own characters for that. Golden Stare the big, buff, burly front gate guard of Canterlot and Rosy Cranberry, the svelt, sweet, fey and perpetially-blushy other front gate guard. Husbands, tender lovers, uncles of Lime, and finally able to accept Bad Apple. Nice guys.

Does encouraging Strongburn from others count if you can't write yourself?

I was never much into yoai, yuri girl all the way. But I always wondered how Brausorin' would work, I mean they live in completely different places in the country. But any way, I've seen a few Gayburn pics and never really got it, like I said. My guess would be that he would actually be the straights colt around. Now Brunstrong I can get, but then theres the matter of age. "How old is Littlestrong heart?" Is my only really reliable question towards the shippers.

So please we all wish to see this slightly realistic ship.

FF, out.

That was Tl:Dr for me but I think I got the jist of it.

Nobody cares, you write good fiction, if your write homosexual stuff, I'll either avoid it or skim over it.

All the way and twice on Sunday. It was the untalented neutral parties that drove the initial Gayburn Zerg Rush. Asking for more straight stuff ought to work the same way.

I punted on the question with a solid, biological call of "sexual dimorphism" and also an invocation of old pulp sci-fi and adventure stories where alien and monster species have men that are huge and inhuman and the women are human sized and usually shaped. I figure LSH is an adult, maybe a young one but not much younger than the yearling-looking Braeburn.

Well technically the show itself created the, at least implied, sexual dimorphism as she is the only buffalo was can identify is female by voice. While real world buffalo do not have this trait, it is possible and, due to that we will likely never see them again, plausible that this exists. Our only encounter has been with a small warband, making it likely to not have females along for the ride, with one obvious exception.

I personally pegged LS at mid teen and BB at older teen at air time, but time has passed so you lovers of social construct should be okay. They are both physically mature either way, to me.
