Oh god! The feels! · 4:33am Nov 8th, 2014

It sure feels good to be free again; to not have to wear that orange jumpsuit, and wear the leg monitor alerting all and sundry to my complete lack of character. I am enjoying my freedom — and some Milo's Sweet Tea — as well as a sense of satisfaction knowing that for the first time, I wrote something that I can feel proud of. I wrote something that I could read to my nine-year old niece without fear. I wrote something that didn't require hours of editing after being posted up to fimfiction.

Don't get it twisted folks, I'm not ashamed of clopfiction. I love the clop. You can't have guilty pleasure, without the pleasure. With that said, if I had it all over to do, I would never have started off with it. If you're a new writer, and are willing to take some advice from a new writer, do not under any circumstances consider clop as a first story, unless you've established yourself as a writer of fiction elsewhere. The people who comment on these stories have very low expectations, and will give you a false sense of achievement. This no doubt contributes to clopfiction's rock-bottom reputation.

Will I write clop again? Probably you better believe it. Will I write it anytime soon? No way. Lily Valley Goes Shopping has only been up about twelve hours, and already I've got useful feedback, as well as words of encouragement. I also got my 8th follower, welcome ChaoticLightning; I hope you find merit in my work going forward.

Finally, I want to recognize Firesight, my editor. While the only story to his name may be mature fiction, don't be fooled. The man has serious writing chops, and an eye for detail. He's also a big part of why Turnabout Storm is so good, having wrote over half of it by himself! I'm talking over 200,000 words here folks! He's also very easy to work with, suggesting where things can be improved, without trying to steer me in one direction. I will absolutely work with him again on my future projects. He's also just a really nice guy. Also, if you are into mature fiction, give Five Star Service a chance. It's mature fiction, with actual maturity, and I absolutely love it. :moustache:

One final note to mention, today this story hit the popular box. I cannot properly express my gratitude. I love you all.
