    Actually an Anniversary

So as of today, it has been ten years to the day since I first published Ducenti Septuaginta Septem, or CCLXXVII for short. Though, if you really want brevity, you could also go with DSS or 277.

Anyways, I won't be doing much navel-gazing and nostalgia-bathing for this one; the last blog post should probably be enough of that for another ten years. :twilightsheepish:

    Almost an Anniversary

In two weeks time, this account will be ten years old.
If the show, Friendship is Magic, was a person, they'd be almost old enough to make an account on this site and read teen-rated stories.
The original show's target demographic is now a bunch of adolescents and young adults. Some of them probably have accounts on this site.

    With Strange Aeons

Hello everyone, I'm back at it, publishing a new chapter, ending the hiatus on CCLXXVII, just in time to fulfil my promise of a 2019 release—wait, it's 2020 now? It's August already? Uh, quick, look at this distraction from my failure to keep deadlines and stuff.

The Sad Sad State of Affairs

Those of you who've been following Ducenti Septuaginta Septem (CCLXXVII for short) for a while will have noticed that I try to post a chapter at least once every year.

Speculation and Apex Artillery: All of This Fun

How does Luna not know what fun is?
This is what a lot of us asked when they first watched Luna Eclipsed (S02E04) and Luna asked Applejack " Fun? What is this fun thou speakest of?"

Anniversary. Thing. · 10:49pm Nov 2nd, 2014

One year. Three hundred and fifty-six days. π·10⁷s. That's about how long it's been since I published Ducenti Septuaginta Septem.
Well, yeah.
Now, fifty thousand words later, I have to admit: I am a lazy bum. Or, put more nicely, I am a slow writer.

Anyway, it's been quite fun. There have been a few nice comments, and nobody has told me my writing makes their brain melt, so I guess it was a success.
However, there's one thing that confuses me: The number of views. Just last month, it hit six thousand. I mean, what's up with that? Is it just me, or is that ridiculously high in comparison to the other stats?

Still, thanks to anyone who read and enjoyed it, because it makes me happy when other people enjoy what I write. Or something, There's probably some fancy psychological explanation for that, but I don't care right now.

Now, I originally wanted to post the incredibly delayed eleventh chapter (and it's nearly ready, I swear), that I said in August I would probably post soon (Had to rewrite it, though), today, but I am lazy, I am slow, and that chapter is one tough cookie. So, sorry, no chapter for you today.

Also, I am doing a revision of everything I have already posted. I would like to think I have learned at least something about writing during the last year, and there are some things I am dissatisfied with. So I'm going to correct them. And if I find typos, all the better.

Moreover, I have decided to break the story into at least four parts. They'll all be part of the same story, I won't post them as individual stories on FIMFiction, so it's just a thing to structure the whole thing a bit better.
So the first ten chapters are now part one, "The Prophecy, the Princess and the Portal", and when the next chapter comes out (along with the revision) it's gonna be the beginning of the second part, which I have not named yet. Because I am still a lazy author.

On the bright side, I have worked on the entire story's outline, so everything's a bit clearer now. I may not exactly know what I'm doing, but at least I know where I'm going with the story.

So, that said, everyone have a nice day. Bye.

P.S.: I am thoroughly dissatisfied with this post, but I'm tired and I'm not really having a great day, so I can't be bothered.
