Halloween is tomorrow, children! You know what that means!

Moar Skullgirls images! Halloween Edition 2014!

But in all seriousness, I hope everyone has some spooky scary skeletons activities planned for the big day. I plan on a double feature of The Shining and The Thing. Possibly with relatives.

Onto the main topic, though: how's Turning Wheel coming along? Fine. I've gotten the next chapter about 2/3rds the way done, and I'm not stopping tonight until it's done. And since it's roughly 3 am at the time of this writing, I have a long night ahead. Yay me!

Of course I was going to update stuff this week anyway, but last night I had a revelation on how I wanted to tackle the next big part of the story. It seems so obvious to me now, but for a long time I was set on doing it one way...only to now realize that what I was planning was horrible. Not that it changes much, mind you, but my new plan is much better. I'll explain it better when that moment comes. The point is, I found myself thinking about it, while I lay awake in bed. And as I rethought my ideas, I got all worked up, and now my passion to finish Turning Wheel is back at a high point. Which is good.

Bad news is I procrastinated so much that some of my plans were shot to hell. You know how Halloween is, like, tomorrow? I'll post another themed Skullgirls fanart if you've somehow forgotten:

Yeah. Well, I've had another story rattling around in my brain for a good long while now. And it starts, in-universe, around Nightmare Night. My plan (and isn't it always the plans?) was to get Turning Wheel done in the last two months, then begin this next one around...now. As you can tell, this did not happen, and my official policy is that until I can stick to a damn schedule, I work on only one story at a time. Turning Wheel has to finish before Mystery Fic X can begin. A fic which is set, at the outset, in the Halloween-like holiday.

You can see my dilemma. Keep a schedule, children, it helps in the long run.

So what do I do? At this point, finish Turning Wheel, and then start that story regardless of how late I am. To hell with being current, the story comes out when I says it does!

Besides, we're nerds. Everyday is Halloween, as far as we're concerned. Happy Halloween!
