Daring Do and the Red Shoe Diary

For years, since nearly the start of the series' rise to international fame, the rumors have persisted: Was there an adult-oriented Daring Do story? Has our intrepid explorer gone down paths far more sordid and saucy than her audience could have imagined?

New Red Shoes Chapter is Live!

After far too long of a hiatus, Red Shoes is officially back with a new chapter!

This time, we'll be hearing from the co-owner of Sugarcube Corner, who has a saucy but sympathetic tale to tell.

I hope you enjoy, and let me know in the comments. Cheers, all!

    Red Shoe Diaries: The Return

    *blows the dust off*

Yikes. I let this sit for way, WAY too long. As I'm typing this I'm realizing it's been 4 years, since this story last updated. That's horrendous, and also entirely my fault. True, lots of life has happened to me, and then there's the world going mad besides. But still, I should NOT have let this story lapse like this. For that, readers, you have my apologies.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Been with family most of the day, but wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

This has admittedly been a crappy year for me, but I AM very thankful for all of you. Your support means the world, and I'm glad y'all are here.

In the comments, let me know what your fave Turkey Day desserts are!

Signal Boost: Ghost of a Rose · 2:46am Oct 23rd, 2014

I don't signal boost stories very often - mostly out of respect for your news feeds. But tonight, I'd like to call your attention to a very, very deserving story:

Ghost of a Rose

Created by the very talented Noble Thought, this beautiful tale takes the reader into the mind, heart, and soul of Roseluck as she tries to come to grips with the world around her... If there's really a world around her at all.

I won't spoil anything here, but I will say this: Everything about this story is beyond top-notch. The characters, the world-building, the emotion, the pacing, the style... All of it fits perfectly together, and reflects an obsessive attention to detail and flow that take Ghost from merely great to absolutely stunning.

All told, I have no problem stating that Ghost of a Rose is one of the best pieces I've seen on Fimfic, and one of the most engaging and emotional stories that I've ever read - fanfic or not. I cannot recommend it highly enough to all of you, so please, give it a read, and show the author some love for a job well done!

Cheers!

It's pretty damn awesome, I've gotta say.
Noble writes rings around me. :rainbowlaugh:

I don't know what else to say, but thank you. It means a lot to me to hear this. Or read it.

I'm just kind of numb right now. A project that's taken so much of my time, and been near and dear to my heart for so long, is now done.

What next?

Well... recovery, for one. And editing. I need to catch up on some projects that I've been putting to the sidelines to finish Ghost. And now it's done... I feel... I feel like I need to let myself recover a bit.

I am in full agreement! This story is easily one of the best I've read on this site. It is safe to say this story will remain on my user page for others to find, it is that good.

2550554 Now that it is finished, go and have a toast, celebrate and enjoy the feeling of completing your story. I'll raise a toast to your work anyway, so you may as well join. :rainbowlaugh:

I'm going to go ahead and second this recommendation. A damn fine piece of writing.
