Poll ending soon! (Which means two new chapters to come!) · 2:34pm Oct 11th, 2014
Howdy howdy! Long time no see!
Well, I'm almost out of exam season here, which means that I've been able to find time to write again! Chapter 11 of "If you ain't..." is already complete and has been sent to my editor, while Chapter 12 is over halfway done! Yay!
So then, like I said in my last blog, I will be ending the poll I hosted last time right as I post up the new chapters, which should be by tomorrow. The poll again, for those who don't know, was about the removal of the comedy tag from the story. I explained why I was holding the poll in my last blog, so you can click the link to learn more about that.
The current results of the poll are as followed:
Two votes for keeping the tag, though with the added warning in the description about the drama points.
One vote for the removal of the tag outright, due to the more serious scenes later on.
One vote is undecided, though his earlier comment in the story itself suggests that he no longer thinks of the story as a comedy.
... So far comedy is winning then! There's still plenty of time to vote though, so feel free to do that here or on the other blog!
That's all from me today! See you later for another double update!

Take it off, it's getting a bit too serious for a comedy fic now.
Agreed, personally, I don't find this that comedic. Fascinating and interest catching, yes.

*Is still waiting to hear back from editor, who is looking over both chapter 11 AND 12 as we speak*
Alrighty then. At first comedy was still winning, but now with three new votes we are perfectly tied between keeping it or ditching it. (There was one new vote for keeping it posted on the original blog, if you're wondering why dropping it hasn't straight out won yet)
So then, let me run something by you two and see if this would fly for ya. If I ultimately end up keeping the tag due to votes, do you think it would balance things out if I put a warning in the description, stating "Warning, Additional Tag: Drama"? Do you think this would better help describe what kind of fic this is? I'm still kinda reluctant to drop the tag, because I think the first chapter would then anger people due to it's comedic nature.
I'll still do it if there's enough votes, for sure. I just wanted to express my own opinion for those wondering what's going on in my head Frankly I don't really know myself half the time
I think I will completely write my fics from start to finish for now on in the future, to avoid stuff like his from happening all the time
2527302 I would recommend against the warning. After all, what's fun about giving up the guts and meat of a story .

Heh, true, but I DO want to make sure everyone knows what they're getting into before they dedicate their time to this. It is a somewhat comical narrative about the slow degeneration of a normally quiet, yet very opinionated stallion and how that affects everpony around him in both good and bad way... The fuck kind of tag am I SUPPOSED to use for something like that
Idk. Think I'm leaning towards dropping it now. Need that vote though. Not like the comedy tag has done me any favors though; ran into a Big Mac shipper "entrepreneur" who was enjoying the story up to a certain scene in chapter ten, where in by he rage quit the story so freaking hard that he turned all three of his puppet account's upvotes into downs
First of all... the fuck? Second of all... the serious fuck Oh well... more tears for the rest of us
2527302 Well, what you could do then is take off the comedic tag and warn in the description that the first few chapters will be more comedic than serious. You should pick the tag that describes most of the story, and since by this point it's more serious than comedic, that's what I would do.
