I did it, folks. I bought it.
Alien: Isolation is worthy of the name Alien. And let me tell you something: Sovastapol Station has really nice and cozy lockers. Do you know how terrifying this game is? How unpredictable this Alien AI is? This thing is clever and will hunt for almost each noise it hears. Forget all the other crap from Colonial Marines, this game leaves A:CM in the dust. And nothing cools the mood down better than coming back to ponies, when the worst thing they want to do to you is to kick you in the butt.
Speaking of ponies, this game won't hinder me to get the next chapter ready, which is currently on 4109 words of maybe 5 or 6 thousand words, maybe 7. Looks good already. I can take only so much alien menace before I need to stop for a bit.
how much do you recommend this game? didnt they get the old actors to do the voices for the characters?

There is a build-up. A very nasty one. Once you make first contact with the alien, the hunt begins. There is a distinct part where you have to wait for a transit to come to escape from the alien and it takes forever to come. The tension grows so thick you could cut it, because you always fear that this thing might come around the corner.
The alien is not the only harmful presence on station though. Survivors seeing you as nothing more than a threat, rogue androids knowing nothing else than their safety protocols which they follow with NO exceptions are also a threat beside the acid for blood menace always on the lookout for the next snack.
Not that you couldn't combine these together... An alien able to wipe the floor with a gang of loud and noisy people is just what you need to distract them. Also when it is out to kill them, this gives you the opportunity to sneak by.
Rule of thumb: If you're heard, you're as good as dead. If you're seen, you ARE dead.
I fully agree... I JUST started my first encounter with the alien and let me tell you I had to stop before I started it. I'm freaked out and all it's done is walk away! The tension the atmosphere creates feels very real. Care to swap notes in PM V.M.?
You should make an alien mlp crossover from the game it would be interesting to see how the mane 6 deal with this kind of monster.
