    Update 4/22/16

    So... it's been a while.

First off, obviously not dead, just the same problems as before (good ol' writer's block), but there is good news

More notes on anthros (and the setting)

Let me start off by saying the next chapter of Son of Man, Daughter of Pony is in the works, it's likely going to be one of the shorter chapters (I'm not even completely sure if it'll get past 1k in word count, but we'll see), though it is just meant to be a little bridging chapter between Melody's first two classes.

    Notes on rewrite

As I mentioned back in September, I'm planning on rewriting the prologue section of Mage's Jump, I've decided that, instead of waiting till chapter 20 (which, given my my current update schedule, will be a long ways off... on the plus side the next couple chapters are a bit less focused on the main plot, one is a flashback and the other is to start what I hope/plan to be a minor subplot) I'm

Apology and Update · 6:01am Sep 20th, 2014

Little heads up- this was written about an hour or so before I go to bed, and I'm already starting to crash at the time of writing

It's been... over 4 months since I last updated Mage's Jump...

Yeah, a mix of overall lack of focus on writing for the most part (readers of Son of Man, Daughter of Pony- a more or less all OC story that sticks with short chapters takes little overall effort to write compared to a story that features many characters created or established by other writers with chapters that generally go between 3-6k in word count) and work leaving me with little energy on the days I'm scheduled (Wednesday, Firday, Saturday, and Sunday... my schedule is a bit weird but not that bad) effectively slowed my writing to a damn crawl, not too mention my relatively recent purchase of a new windows laptop (one I normally use is linux) has allowed me to play a number of really fun games on Steam, which, while I don't play that often (not that big a gamer overall actually, usually to distracted by something else to bother with them, but when I do I end up playing for several hours without realizing it), end up resulting in me getting little to no writing done on those days.

I'm sorry, dear readers, that I've taken this long to write, but I do have somewhat good news:

I've almost finished the chapter. I just have one scene to finish and one or two more scenes after that before I can consider it done (I could go longer, but I'm running dry on any ideas on how to exp[and it and feel I've put finishing it off for too damn long). I hope to finish the chapter by the end of the month and get it posted, if this goal cannot be met, I can at least promise it will be out by next month, and hopefully the next ones shouldn't take as long (of course after chapter 20 I'll likely be taking a bit of a break to work on the prologue rewrite, but will hopefully still do some work on the next series of chapters).

Not much else to say really... Here's a random picture I have bookmarked for some reason:
