Sorry for the Delay, Writer Submissions, and Ice Bucket Challenge · 12:05am Sep 6th, 2014
There's three orders of business I want to let you guys all know about today.
First, I know that many of you have been waiting for the video of the Bronycon 2014 Shattered Kingdom panel, and I wanted to let you guys know that we're not sure where it is, either. I was told that the panel would be recorded, and I saw the guy with the camera when doing the panel, so there should be some footage of it somewhere, possibly in processing. I've contacted the Bronycon staff about this, and gotten no word, so we have no idea where it is, but I wanted to apologize for making you all wait so long.
Second, I wanted to thank everyone who applied for a writing position on Shattered Kingdom! As of this Saturday, we will officially be at the end of the first phase of the writing application process, and be sending out edits to all submissions for the test. Thank you to all who applied, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. For anyone reading this who is thinking "writer position? I wish I had known about that, I would have applied!" I am going to open up a second wave of applications for you all! Anyone who would like to apply, but didn't have a chance to do so earlier, email me at gremlingrenade@gmail.com. Be aware that if the final versions of the first wave of applications fill up the slots we have, we'll be doing a first come, first serve policy on positions.
And lastly, I was nominated last week by Pen Stroke to do the Ice Bucket Challenge, so here's my video. For those of you who don't know (ha), the Ice bucket Challenge is to raise awareness for ALS, a debilitating disease that slowly paralyzes pretty much your entire body. It's really scary stuff, and I was happy to do the challenge and pitch in my $10 for it. But because I can't go without humiliating myself, here's the video:

I'm still working on it. Things came up and delayed my writing.
I've been working all day on this, trying to get it done, but I'm not sure if I'll get it in on time. As much as I hate the thought of it, I'd rather get in a finished product than a half-finished one. If I have to push mine back to the next round, I guess I won't have a choice. 
I'm gonna continue working on it, though.

Personally, I'd rather you get in a half-finished one, as you're going to have to make edits regardless, and a perfect first draft just does not usually happen. Iteration is an important part of the game development process, and timeliness is one of the more important things for someone on the team.
If you still want to hold off, it's up to you, of course, but I wouldn't worry about an unfinished product just now.
2432476 True enough. I've been working on it all through the day. I made up my mind a while ago I'm submitting whatever I get done. There's one large branch that won't be done, but a bunch of smaller ones are done. I'll send the e-mail as soon as I finish up final touches.
no word? this does not bode well.....
