    For why I'm not updating:

Bought it Tuesday night, promptly spent 26 hours on it in two days, stopping only to sleep and wash clothes.

I had things that needed doing.

    Like building solar panels.

And hydroponics bays to grow food in the winter.

Yanno, I always thought that the idea of refitting the Yamato as a spaceship was kinda silly. Then I see this video on YouTube:
Cheese

At about the 2-minute mark, it becomes so insanely ludicrous that it comes right back around to totally awesome. Even with that cheesy song.

Also, have you seen these?
Linky 1
Linky 2

So glorious. Ponies with 'mechs = awesome. Especially ponies in jumpsuits, for some reason it makes them more adorable.

BTW, I'm going to visit friends up in Kentucky for a week in the first week of July, so if you don't hear from me after then I'm probably dead from an automobile accident. Or possibly fireworks related death. Frankly, dying in a massive explosion is how I'd love to go.

And a final thought for y'all:

Just make sure if you succumb to fireworks, you at least go out in a big explosion. Wouldn't want something small to take you out... would look kind of weak on your part.

I assure you, sir, that only the greatest of booms would be able to dissipate my corpulent bulk.

166555
I'm holding you to that. And if they find even a toenail left, I will be disappointed that you were taken out by something so small. :pinkiesad2:

But then who are the civilians? Americans?

Or if not explosion from fireworks, then
As a casualty of a roman candle war.:pinkiehappy:

166562
Don't worry. If you hear of a city in Kentucky called Winchester disappearing off the map, you'll know it was me.

166564
I don't think you get the joke.

166567
Buddy, if we're going to shoot fireworks at each other, we're gonna darn well use Mortars. :rainbowdetermined2:

I get everything on the tee shirt except for everything being organized by the Swiss?

trying not to get all geeky here but the Yamato is the most powerful Sci fi ship ever
p.s
have fun with thous fireworks :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

Glorious indeed.

The artist has got to be a warhammer or warcraft fan. Noone else makes such ridiculously huge shoulder sections.

Good luck on your trip.

166779My guess cause the swiss are neutral alround peace loving

166779

The Swiss are renowned for being very organized and tidy, but also kind of cold, hence the joke.

167109
Hello? Death Star?

167251
If you look at his art he's anime-inspired, not really Warhammer or anything western.

167523Thanks for clearing that up :pinkiehappy:

Clearly you've never read The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury. :derpytongue2:

WHAT DA CRAP IT'S A FLYING BATTLESHIP
ASDFASDFASDF

168649
i know but he brought The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury

168649
Flying battleships are indeed awesome. But there are always other awesome things.

168655
Heh. As for awesome space battleships, you should read some of the Honor Harrington series. It's quite awesome.

thanks for the suggestions

Luna's mech, you say? Modeled after that linked deviation:

Nice. Using the Drawing Board? I broke down and bought HMPro myself.

As for that drawing, I think it was more anime-inspired, so you'd probably need Wave Motion Guns as a custom weapon. ;p

168786
HMPro, actually. I just trimmed the readout down a little so it wouldn't take up an entire page :)
You could probably have saved the money and used SSW instead. It's free, up-to-date and has active developers.

I generally dislike custom weapons. (Clan RAC/5 are canon, HM is just outdated) Gauss rifles were the closest fit and the resulting design isn't even all that bad!

168820
Well it's what I've been using, and it's not that expensive, so I'm fine with it.

I usually dislike custom weapons as well, but sometimes it's amusing to tinker with it. Like making Clan versions of Light and Heavy Gauss Rifles,

As for canon, I've been disturbed about the amount of übertech Catalyst has been putting into standard level 2 play. Some things I don't mind, like some of the new particle cannons - always thought the PPC was under appreciated in the new weapons department - but HAGs? Light ACs? It just seems like a lot of confusion. I guess I'm an old fart, but I'm happy with the tech as of 3067, with a few newer weapons I mentioned.

168657
The Honor Harrington series is brilliant, and David Weber is my second favorite author, just barely behind his friend John Ringo. I love Weber's work, and it pleases the hell out of me to see others that enjoy it. His interpretation of space warfare is incredibly well thought-out and believable, and the battles still manage to feel like a couple of WWI dreadnaughts trading shots.

171924
Indeed. I am often impressed by Weber's ability to make the battles seem both like WWI surface engagements and yet still evoke the feeling of the Age of Sail at the same time.
