So apparently, back when Lab Zero was toying with the idea for alternate "bad" endings for all the characters, Peacock was supposed to become the Skullgirl in hers. Here's some concept art to prove it:

Yeah, some of the others had downer endings as well. Parasoul shoots the Skullheart and fatally wounds her sister, Painwheel wishes for freedom and gets turned into a thoughtless, instinct driven monster... The list goes on. I think the only ones that didn't get bad endings were Squiggly and Big Band, and only because they were crowd-funded characters.
Speaking of, am I the only one who thinks that those two are the best choices for Painwheel to team up with if they ended up in Equestria with her? I have my thoughts as to why, though I think a lot of people would disagree. But I honestly think that these three have the best balance in all areas in all directions.
