In Which I have had to go to the Emergency Room... · 6:23am Aug 12th, 2014

Quick biology lesson, kiddies! This is an Appendix:

ap·pen·dix
a section or table of additional matter at the end of a book or document.

Ha ha, no, wrong one. Even though a good deal of us here are writers.

This is an anatomical Appendix:

Ugly little thing, innit?

Now, the thing about the Appendix is that it's essentially a useless organ. It may have had some use, a long, long time past in humanity's evolutionary history, but nowadays? It's only real use is for causing intestinal problems.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what happened to me today. That sucker got painful, and it had to go, or risk being fatal. Which wouldn't be fun in the slightest.

So, now, I'm sitting at home, typing this, and have just learned that while I was in the hospital, some guy called Robin Williams just died and stole my medical thunder!

Nah, I kid. I've liked Robin William's movies for a long time, from Flubber as a small child to Mork and Mindy, and Jumanji and most recently, Night at the Museum. (Goodness knows how they're going to do that next movie without him.) And it's a damned shame he's gone. He will be greatly missed in my household, and I'm sure there's already been several hundred blogs with many more details about what actually happened. Including one, no doubt, by Bronystories.

Me? I'm just gonna leave it at this.

i think, for Night at the Museum, they have Robin's scenes already filmed. plus, this is the final movie in that little trilogy.
