Time for some news and announcements! · 10:54pm Aug 10th, 2014
Okay, now that Sunset Eclipsed is done, I think it's time that I said some things.
First off, there will indeed be a sequel. It's going to be titled Sunset Rekindled. I expect to start working on it in a few days. It's going to have little or nothing to do with the human world, and will be all about the adventures Sunset Shimmer and her friends and family will be able to have in Equestria without the threat of the Chrysalis Syndicate looming over their heads. A few storylines will involve: A trip to Las Pegasus, finding Sunset Shimmer's missing father, and dealing with King Nelphyn.
Second, I also have a prequel/midquel already in development, called Thirty Days and Thirty Nights. It will take place between the end of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and the beginning of Sunset Eclipsed, and will be about Sunset Shimmer and her attempts to salvage her ruined life in the human world, while Sergeant Craw of the Chrysalis Syndicate infiltrates Canterlot High School and tries to learn more about her. This story will exhibit explicit profanity, a little graphic violence, and some sexual tension, so it will be rated "Teen" rather than "Everyone" like Sunset Eclipsed was.
Third, I'll also be working on my MLP/Star Wars crossover Obsidian Flight: Crisis in Equestria. If you like Star Wars and My Little Pony, then I think you should give it a read!
Fourth, I think I'll be taking a break from online MLP-related activity between September 27th and October 17th. Why, you might ask? Because Rainbow Rocks will be in theatres starting on the former date, and will air on the Hub on the latter date, and I don't wanna risk being spoiled until I've seen the movie for myself.
Mind you, It doesn't mean I'm cutting cold turkey or anything. Far from it. I'm still gonna watch the show (especially since I have the first season, plus the first EQG movie, on DVD!), but I'll also have a whole bunch of other non-MLP stuff to keep me busy, too! And I'll still chime in now and then to check for any new comments or messages.
This break might even be a good opportunity for me to update my Silmarillion fanfiction, The Servants of Ungoliant, which I regret to say that I've neglected to update for nearly a year, due to a crippling case of writer's block. I just hope lotrfanfiction.com doesn't get hacked again during that particular time period.
The new movie sounds like it's gonna be awesome. I haven't gotten that far sadly. Mind telling me how the new movie turns out once you've seen it? Not like any spoilers or anything, but whether or not it was good?
Good luck with the sequel!
2359465 I'm not going to watch it in theatres. I'll watch it when it airs on the Hub. That's why I'm planning to take a break until then once it's in theatres.
OH! Right. But still, please tell me how it turns out ok? I'm still stuck on the 1st season! I know. I know. It's hard to believe. Just haven't found time is all. Plus, I'm still a bit of a new Brony.
