So yeah, another chapter of Thunder and Lightning, which is haflway complete, might be a little late, due to sudden life complications. Yeah, lets call it that. That's the important part, anyone not interested in me venting out my stress can just go back to happy (or grimdark) ponies. What follows is something that hit me recently.
...
Or rather, not me, but my cat. As usual each summer, when its damn hot outside, he likes to jump out and explore, before coming back next day, dirty and hungry, but otherwise unharmed, safe for maybe a few ticks that are easily taken care of. This time, he wasn't this lucky. I wasn't there when it happened, but he was attacked by a neighbors dog, a giant wolf-like beast that's usually harmless and obediant, but still a dog nontheless. Before he was called of, he managed to badly hurt my cat, to the point that it couldn't move, mostly due to shock and some injuries. I just went back from vet and found out, well, not much, since he was too stressed out to be properly taken care of. He got some medication, half of his tail has been shaved off, along with quite a large patch on his side. Tommorow I'll go again for another visit, hoping it'll be alright. They might have to remove his entire tail if things get really bad and I don't even want to think about worst case scenario.
This cat, whose name is Rikimaru after a ninja from Tenchu series, is almost 15 years old. I'm 28 and had him since he was a little kitten. That's more than HALF of my entire life, sharing bedroom with one animal that defies most cat stereotypes and has been like my little brother since, for better and for worse. So yeah, I'm not exactly in the mood for writing a comedy, or anything in general. He's sleeping, I wish to say peacefully, but I can't be sure, right next to me. And all I can do is regret that I couldn't be home sooner to prevent that from happening, which of course is a wishful thinking. But can you blame me?
Sorry for taking your time. Wish us luck.
Good Luck. I hope things get better and that every thing goes well with your cat.
I feel for you bro. Crap like this happens and if you want to blame someone, just try to remember animals are animals and they do what they do. Cats want to roam and dogs want to protect, it's just nature. Just have faith that for better and worse you were the best Human your cat could want. For one does not own a cat, your cat owns you.
Ouch. That happened to my sister's cat once. Let's just say your cat was lucky.
Hope your cat gets better, dude.
