Two parts, or 6500 words? · 4:40am Jul 27th, 2014
I'm almost done with chapter 12 of ISHNBTP, and it's a long one. Now, I have the first part done, and ready to post, but it's kinda a crappy way to leave off until the next part is out. I can't make them two separate chapters either. It's just the way it panned out. Anyway, I've been typing for 7 hours trying to get this done, but I'm just too tired. I'll just wait until I hear from one of you guys before I do anything.
Long chapters are fine. Chapter length doesn't really matter. As long as a chapter feels like it's "complete", that's all that matters.
Yaaaay!
What Mythril said. As long as it has a good stopping point, it's fine. Plus, that would give you more time to work on the rest and release the second half a few days or so after? I like having something to look forward across the week. Fast updates leaves the rest feeling a bit empty sometimes.
But yeah, long chapters are cool. Especially if you feel the action is just too continuous to break it off into two parts.
It all depends on how it flows. If a short one flows better divide it up. If the long one is a better read, give it a single chapter update.
Happy times, happy times.
Rest now, and let dreams of overly fluffy pink ponies wielding chainsaws carry you to your respite...
