Cancelling Rising from the Fall · 10:50am Jul 24th, 2014
I sincerely apologize for those who were following 'Rising from the Fall' but as the title says, I will be cancelling the story for various reasons. Among them is because when I started this story, there was a great deal of darkness in my heart, and I translated it in my (admittedly mediocre) writing.
Thanks to some good friends, both in RL and here on Fimfiction, I've gotten past most of it, and find that I don't have the heart to continue the story as is.
However, this brings me to the second reason I made this post: I am seriously considering doing another version of this story, one without such a dark undertone. Some elements will still exist, (such as Jetstream having his heart stomped on by Spitfire) and instead of his family being killed in an accident, and Jetstream losing his wings, they're alive and well, and he still has his wings!
For those of you who are interested, I'd like your opinion on the matter. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and have a good one!

Well this explains why there hasn't been an update since November.....I was one of the followers for this story (in fact it's the only reason I'm following you) and I have to say it's disappointing to read you're cancelling the story BUT you say some of it can be salvaged (in a manner of speaking) but I have to ask what would be the premise of the new story? Because once you remove the dark undertone all you're left with is vanilla Jetstream since 3 chapters is not enough to establish much of anything. I'm completely fine with a Vanilla OC Romance story since I'm a sucker for those but maybe you will come up with an interesting premise along the way so I say go for it.

Lol, I sometimes forget he's more established with a select few individuals on this site, but truth be told, when I write RftF, I have to REALLY bring out the worst of myself, and I can only do that in small doses.
On that note, thanks for tracking it as you did. To be completely honest, after reading your comment I'm now left wondering if I made the right decision
If, for some reason I do continue this, I do have ideas I can play with, now that I'm a little more comfortable writing in general.
2313846 Well whatever you do decide to do with the remnants of Rising from the Fall is ultimately up to you,if you're not comfortable writing something than simply don't because that's not how you get the creative juices going and I decided to keep an eye on you for the time being because The Mare-a-thon seems to have potential and it seems that you repurpose Jetstream for that story anyways.
