Today is a special occasion. It was one year ago today that I published the first chapter of The Education of Clover the Clever, the first thing I published on FIMFiction.
Which means it's time for a BIRTHDAY PARTY 
Music! Cake! Presents!
A huge crowd of ponies floods into Canterlot House 1, much to Star Swirl's chagrin: the full cast and crew of The Education of Clover the Clever and The Crown of Night alike, the Mane Six+Spike, seven different Star Swirls the Bearded and Swirly Stars the Wise, Celestia and Luna (who come bearing cake and cider), and hanging out in the background one Rick and Morty...!
*Party until I am pooped* Phew...
Now, for the progress update:
You might have already seen that something happened yesterday, the day before Clover's birthday: I wrote a little meta-chapter to commemorate the occasion of Clover getting her first ever downvote. Congratulations, Clover. You are now one step closer to being a grownup. 
I am confident that you will learn to take it in stride, and grow stronger from the experience 
The next proper chapter is in production, I promise. Real life has been messing things up a bit this summer, leaving me less time and energy to write than I would like, but I can promise you that when it comes, it will be awesome 
And speaking of awesome, a little treat: Spirit Shift is giving the story the Cinema Sins treatment in the comments to each chapter: He's done the first three so far, go check it out
