So... yeah, I just wanted to say, as I'm sure some of you have already noticed... the latest chapter of Winds of the Past has now been split up into three parts. Hopefully this will make it a bit more reasonable, and ah, less intimidating to read...

Alright, its been two weeks. Time for a story update.
To begin, I've been working on multiple chapters, and have essentially been going back and forth between chapters seven and eight, having a pretty good idea of what happens in each so I can go ahead and write them out without having to plan too much. Planning was pretty much one of the delaying issues with this, but now that we're in the second half and nearing the end, I have an idea of how I want to end this and a basic layout of what happens in each chapter. All I have to do is write them.
As for the chapters themselves, chapter seven is currently around 3,000 words out of an estimated 8, maybe 9,000 words. It could end up being longer depending on how much detail I decide to add, but that's the estimate at the moment. I won't try and force it above 10,000. Chapter eight is just over 1,000 words however (haven't been working on it as much, and I started it a little while after I began chapter seven.) I've also been thinking about the possibility of a second chapter seven, one from Rainbow's perspective (since the current chapter seven follows Twilight after Rainbow decides to leave), but at the moment, I'm not sure if I should post it between seven and eight, or as a possible bonus chapter later on. At the moment, it remains unwritten, but it will introduce Ponyville into the story.
Real life, and little distractions here and there have kept me somewhat occupied, and I wasn't able to write as much as I would have liked these past couple weeks. Not to mention I've had a bit of writer's block regarding a couple scenes... But everything looks like it is returning to normality so I should hopefully get a lot more done these next couple weeks.
Also, these next few chapters will surpass the cuteness in chapter six by a landslide. >_>
