For those of you who read Before the Dawn and are interested in the sequel, I do have some news to share. I have the outline of Shadow of the Moon written out, and I've started writing the book. I'm doing Camp Nano this month to actually write the story. So far, I have the prologue, and chapters 1 and 2 written. I think this book is actually going to be quite a bit bigger than Before the Dawn, so it may take me longer than I'd like to write it. I don't intend to start posting chapters until I'm finished with the entire book so I can make sure everything is congruent. I know that may frustrate some people, but I really want to do the story justice, and there are a LOT of elements that I'm working with.
This is much more than Luna just becoming Nightmare Moon.
In the meantime, I am still working on a couple of stories, including Birth of the Moon and my collab story See Who I Am: A Crusaders' Tale. Birth of the Moon is definitely a story you should read before Shadow of the Moon. It covers history about the alicorns, including more info about Gemfyre, and some interesting facts about things that will happen in the sequel. I may be shooting myself in the foot by writing an alicorn story, but it needs to be told, and I think it's an interesting story. It won't be very long...just a couple of chapters. You'll also get to meet a rather familiar chaotic character.
Anyway, as you wait patiently for the sequel, I'll add updates and maybe give you little bits of information to tide you over. As I said at the end of Before the Dawn, you are very welcome to do any fan art/music/animation etc just so long as you give me credit. If you let me know that you did it, I'll add your work to my story so that other people can see it and hopefully check out your work.
