If you need something serious, though, you can check out this guide to writing fanfiction that I wrote.
For me, I created an outline of the story and how it progresses and how it ends. Then I start writing the story. Before you start though, I would recommend getting an editor and/or prereader to help you get the grammatical and other mistakes taken care of.
