    Fight Scenes Are Magic

So! Pinkie Pie vs. Sombra in a curb-stomp battle. What does this have to with Dusk?

Well, I wrote Fight Scenes are Magic as a way to practice fight choreography. Getting a little extra experience never hurt anypony - and doing fight scenes like this will help me when I write out Dusk's final battle.

Omake: This Can Only End Well

I had a stupid idea, and put it into words. I'm not going to bother editing it after this point, but at least it's out of my brain now.

Check out the new chapter on Shield and Sword.

    Revisions

As I mentioned in the previous blog post, I had made revisions to the prologue of Dusk. Well now I've gone and redone chapter one. And I'm particularly proud of it this time around! The plot twist doesn't feel like it's out of left field anymore, and I've made "Twilight's" banter a little snappier, so as to match the picture of her I have in my head.

I think I like sabotaging myself...

After a burst of creativity, I've revised the prologue of Dusk. Over time, if I can't bring myself to finish the next chapter, I'll probably end up re-doing all of the chapters this way. The original version is located here, and I've also linked it in the chapter itself.

Let me know what you think!

    Writing VS Writing

My brain is the biggest troll in the world.

There are two huge writing projects that have dominated my brain as of late. The first would be Dusk - specifically, the chapter I'm working on. (Fight scenes* are a bitch.) The second, however, is a little more important - my research paper for my bachelor's degree in IT.

Twilight Sparkle is best pony, and yet... (prereader call) · 7:38am Jun 2nd, 2012

Of the five stories I've written, only one of them had Twilight Sparkle as a main character, and that one was really more of a satire anyway. :facehoof:

My next story will only complicate matters. In a twist worthy of M. Night Shyamalan himself, Twilight will simultaneously be the main character and be completely absent from the storyline.

The story is called Dusk*, and it'll be a Twilight(?)-centric adventure story. I have the entire storyline blocked out in outline form, but I've only drafted the first part of the prologue.

Once again, I'm calling for prereaders, but this story will be much slower getting out of the starting gate than Applejacks was. It'll be a few weeks at best before I have anything I consider putting anything up onto the site.

Please, PM or comment here if you're interested!

*- No, the main character is not Dusk Shine. I'm not really a fan of r63.
