    Fight Scenes Are Magic

So! Pinkie Pie vs. Sombra in a curb-stomp battle. What does this have to with Dusk?

Well, I wrote Fight Scenes are Magic as a way to practice fight choreography. Getting a little extra experience never hurt anypony - and doing fight scenes like this will help me when I write out Dusk's final battle.

Omake: This Can Only End Well

I had a stupid idea, and put it into words. I'm not going to bother editing it after this point, but at least it's out of my brain now.

Check out the new chapter on Shield and Sword.

    Revisions

As I mentioned in the previous blog post, I had made revisions to the prologue of Dusk. Well now I've gone and redone chapter one. And I'm particularly proud of it this time around! The plot twist doesn't feel like it's out of left field anymore, and I've made "Twilight's" banter a little snappier, so as to match the picture of her I have in my head.

I think I like sabotaging myself...

After a burst of creativity, I've revised the prologue of Dusk. Over time, if I can't bring myself to finish the next chapter, I'll probably end up re-doing all of the chapters this way. The original version is located here, and I've also linked it in the chapter itself.

Let me know what you think!

    Writing VS Writing

My brain is the biggest troll in the world.

There are two huge writing projects that have dominated my brain as of late. The first would be Dusk - specifically, the chapter I'm working on. (Fight scenes* are a bitch.) The second, however, is a little more important - my research paper for my bachelor's degree in IT.

The problem I have, see, is that every time I work on one, I get an idea for the other and immediately become discouraged. Putting together an annotated bibliography? Bam, I know the exact choreography I need to finish the fight. Writing out the action scenes? HOLY CRAP, I never found an article to support point X for my thesis!

I'm trapped in some sort of loop of inspiration and self-deprecation. Way to go, brain. You've really got this multitasking thing on LOCK.

No promises, but since the paper won't be hanging over my head forever, I might be able to get the chapter done within a month.

TL;DR UUUUUUGH

* - Yes the next chapter is a fight scene. Whoopie.
