Hi there, everypony!
I'm JJ Malcolm, been commenting as a 'guest' for a while but began working on a poni-story recently, so I joined so I can post it once done.
Said story is a MLP/X-Com crossover.
I've got 16 characters chosen anda gneral plot, but I'd like suggestions for semi-canon characters to take the last two spaces on the Avenger.

Still need 2 more for the Avenger so I can take the final mission and begin the story proer[everything has been logged as accurately as possible for the story{and yes, I'm using an actual playthrough of the game]
X-Com, huh? Never played the game myself but I do know about it. Actually, Cap'n Chryssalid has a really good X-Com crossover going on over on his fanfiction.net account. It crosses over with Ranma 1/2 and not ponies but perhaps it will give you some additional ideas. It's a loooooonnnnnnnggggggg story though (and the crossover he's doing with Lathis (which he's using a crossover from Teen Titans (SO MANY CROSSOVERS!)) is even longer).

Thanks, dude! As for the last two characters, opted to contact a friend of mine called Zack Shrike, so the last two characters are Clockworx[my Earth Pony mad scientist character] and his own Hippogriff, Southern Cross.

As for the fic, it should b up in a week or so. Chapters are painfully slow due to my co-author being, well, often distracted. Combined with my own job and such. Afterwards, things should roll faster.
Good luck. You have seen mine X-COM and it is bad in grama and spelling ways.
If you're doing an X-Com fic as well, maybe something to think about would be giving other groups some character as well, like maybe having Spitfire, Wildfire, Soarin', Firefly, Medley and maybe some others like Surprise or North Star in amongst them as pilots. Maybe have Doctor Whooves as one of the scientists that's often in contact with the soldiers/pilots, perhaps even bring in Gilda, Zecora or someone else not a pony as another base's cohort since X-Com was global and gryphons, Zebra and dragons are part of the world, as are buffalo and cattle.

Well, I'm not certain if I mentioned it, but the story is pulled from a playthrough of the game I actually did, so I kinda have only 1 team[it was a one-base-challenge]. Explaining how things worked out withouta game over would be a spoiler. suffice to say, Luna and Celestia never died.
Oh, and Luna's never allowed to handle explosives.....EVER.
The sequel I'd likely involve those characters but it's gonna be one bigass mess first and foremost, I just need to get the first chapter done.
Ditzy and Spike were pilots.
Southern Cross and Clockworx were scientists.
Everyone else were soldiers.

I'm more scared then letting Rainbow fly one of the crafts. That dragon is a bit to small if you tell me. And Ditzy. I think that is a bit better even if she is cross-eyed.
