The chapter is roughly a quarter done (this could change).
Basically, Michael is the 'guest' of the changeling queen Anisophira who is aware the Equestrians are going to attempt a rescue. She may or may not be mentally stable. Perhaps it is a ruse to keep our human friend confused and off balanced. Needless to say, her hive is not in very good shape. As mentioned earlier in our story, the dragon Leviatan (Hebrew for whale, thanks to my editor!) has somehow been able to take the hive's future and has ravaged the infastructure thanks to his minions.
But why is he doing this? And how has he been able to nullify the power of a queen and negate the numbers of the hive's defenders? What is their connections with Earth? What is going on?
As Celestia and Luna prepare to do battle with a dragon they seem to be familiar with, Chrysalis has been knocked out by a powerful magic surge brought about by her anger at her father's kidnapping. What will she do? What about Fleur and the small party of rescuers? Surely they know they're on a suicidal mission. I mean, c'mon...the hive is on full alert and the changelings have got to be a giant ball of nervous fear after having been ransacked!
What has been enabling their enemies to break in and steal their children?
