Krieg's little Land Dolphins: Bicycles Are Tofu updates · 3:46pm Jun 4th, 2014
I don't know if it's because of my boosted ego, or just because I have nothing better to do now that I finished school for the year, regardless, I feel compelled to give my readers what I feel is a vital update to understanding Krieg's Little Land-Dolphins. After reviewing my past fics to look at mistakes I could avoid, and further studying the source material of what I am crossing over, I realized that I have a lot of ways to push this fic in the right direction.
Reader interactivity
Although I did mostly make this fic for my own entertainment, I published it because I am a complete attention-whore, and I feel that means I need to make sure I take reader feedback (I always will take reviews and criticisms into account, here, I'm more or less talking about when readers say 'I hope X is in the next chapter' or 'I hope Krieg does blah-blah-blah'
to heart while still staying true to my vision.
So in order to do this, when I feel that my readers should have a say (Translation: When I have more than one idea and am too lazy to choose between them.), I will put up some blog pages to have readers help me decide
Flim and Flam will actually be relevant to the plot
After re-reading the first chapter of the story, I realized I made a mistake that I seem to do in all my fics
Pointless, shoehorned, cameos.
Realizing I already wrote them in, I had to make sure there was actually a point to writing them in. So needless to say, I am gonna make sure they have an actual role.
G-mod action pictures (still in testing)
This probably won't arrive till at earliest the third chapter, but after writing the first, I realized that when it comes down to Borderlands, it has to be action-oriented. Since I'm about as good at imagery as a kindergartner with a crayon. I decided that I need pictures to show off Krieg's epic battle scenes with the dangers of Equestria
Since I sucked at both drawing and animating, G-MOD was the answer I came to
I, for one, think that you'll do an outstanding job on this fic. I've only seen a few other KriegxMLP fics that had such a grasp on Krieg's thought processes and actions. I mean, come on, Land-Dolphins? I still burst out laughing just thinking about that, and I know it's because that is totally something he would say!
Tl;dr, your fic is awesome, and you should feel awesome.
2174251 I'm glad Krieg is the best received part of the fic, the reason I chose Krieg as the main character is BECAUSE of the fact that he is a character who would be fun as hell to write.
He is probably the most fun I've had writing a character in any fic.
Like Deadpool (The main character of the first fic I wrote), he's insane, in fact, he talks and acts even more out of touch with reality, but throughout his trailer, it's revealed his thought process is perfectly rational and deductive, however, for some reason, he seems to ignore his own thoughts, which gives me the entertaining time of getting to write him arguing with his own brain
