No warnings for you this time, no blog post status updates along the way. Just a whole new chapter, ready to go by the time you see this message.

Okay, lemme see. I feel that at this point I can say with some certainty that I have a plan for where the story is going, and that it looks like it will have twelve chapters total when it's done. So that's five chapters left to go. True to Star Swirl form, there is an actual plan going on, with a point to it, even if it looks like complete surreal madness to the conventionally sane bystander.
Now, as you've probably noticed, I'm not the fastest writer on the internet: each chapter takes two to four weeks of work for me, assuming I even know what's going to be in it. Inbetween, I'll have a week when I don't get a single word down. And I have two stories about Star Swirl, which I have been updating more or less alternately, and a slew of other story ideas which occasionally manage to grab my attention for a while. So really, I have no idea how long those five chapters will take me. But still, I am pretty sure that five chapters is it, and no more Big Ideas are going to show up and demand extra chapters to accommodate them.
I think I am going to write the next chapter of The Crown of Night next. Everything is some level of probability, nothing is a promise, it is most likely that we will live to speak again later.
