I'm assuming everyone has watched the film, but if not I suggest you do not read this blog.
It wasn't as good as I thought itd be. big G himself didn't show up as many times as I'd like.
Sure, this is Godzilla, not Pacific Rim, but still, the movie is titled after him...
It's funny how the two films are complete opposites of each other. With Pacfic Rim showing how mankind can fight back while Godzilla enforces and reminds us that nature is never in our control. Pacific rim also gives us giant things fighting by the bucket load, howeve Godzilla prefers to tease the viewers and really build tension and anticipation.
I did like the small bits where he did show up though. The atomic breath was quite possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever see and I LOVED the roar. His size and new design is downright amazing in my opinion. And when he first fully appears in Hawaii, that foot through the airport glass, everyone growing silent. That was absolutely hair raising and I loved it.
Onto the humans. I liked Bryan Cranston, he did a good job, and a lot of people were disappointed that he died just 15 or so minutes into the film, but I have no problems, it was a bold move and something I never saw coming, it surprised me to say the least.
As for Aaron Taylor, I guess he was alright, not as good as Cranston and the fact that his little soldier sub plot took the spotlight away from Godzilla does not help things. But, that's the script, not his fault.
The MUTO having EMP was great too. It kinda shows just how much nature has against us, and that our technology is not always the answer.
Godzilla being the alpha predator, or enforcer of sorts was good. I liked the idea.
All in all, Godzilla is good, but there are things that stop it from being an amazing film. I've heard news that there's going to be a 2 and 3 and I hope They realize the flaws and improve on them.
As for other things, I don't really have anything other than all existing stories are cancelled and there won't be any updates. Yeah.
After "Transformers," "Real Steel," and "Robot Combat League," I can't honestly be surprised by the lack of Godzilla. No one gives a fuck about watching titans bash the stuffing out of each other in an epic battle anymore, they just want want tawdry warm and fuzzy stories about children and shit.
I liked how he riped the last evil monsters mout and breaths his fire into his mouth and kills him I also liked how the building splinterd and went into the evil monster I thought this movie was really well done and not as sucky as I thoufht it would be

I was totally gonna watch it, but was gonna wait for my dad so I could go with him.

I guessed so. There was Hollywood contradicting Hollywood in the trailer, so I assumed it'd be pretty good.
