I... I don't know. Is CheesePie contagious? I think it is, because I seem to be reading and even writing it. My biggest ship has been Twilight + Pinkie, but I just don't know. I didn't like Cheese Sandwich that much after Pinkie Pride came out, actually kind of despising him. Admittedly, I got kind of jealous. A stallion who got that close to my favourite pony? BACK OFF MAN! ...Oh and being voiced by Weird Al and everything.
Yeah I'm silly. After many re-watches and some fanfics, he easily jumped the ladder in my order of favourite ponies. I don't know how, but yeah. I like him more now, so I guess CheesePie just evolved from there. As for Pinkie, I basically ship her with everything, so that's fine.
I've tagged this blog with the story I just submitted, named Cheese Pie Cake. It's pretty obvious who the other pony is, even being mentioned various times in that first chapter, and it's supposed to be. The story isn't a masterpiece, rather a nice cute short story. But I hope you enjoy it. Don't expect it to be long though.
Now clop. I should address my opinion on it and an upcoming fic.
I don't hate clop. I read it time to time, sometimes regretting feeling something emerging from reading them, and mostly enjoy them. How I view the show is that the mane six are all around 21,22 or somewhere around there. Because of this, I envision that they indeed have sex and talk about that sort of thing. I never really approve of them cursing though. I don't know why, but it doesn't fit well with me. If I see a pony swearing during a fic, I tend to groan in disgust. It doesn't put me off the story, and some stories themselves are built very around using cursing, but it kind of bugs me sometimes. But yeah, the characters have sex and stuff. It's how I view it, so I feel comfortable about them talking about the topic.
Some clops are fetish based. I don't mind them. I'll give them a read, even though I don't see anything from the fetish itself. I can understand though.
I have never really considered writing clop. My closest to it has been Pinkius Piecus: Behind the Bush, but I am not sure if it qualifies as clop or not. I know it's mature and all, and I even toned down parts of it, but I'm still unclear. When I think of clop, I think sexual intercourse, which that fic doesn't contain. I toned it down a bit because I'm not sure if I'm comfortable writing the specific words to do with anatomy, or slang versions for them. I don't know, and I'm not sure if I'll ever use them. The same goes for ponies cursing too, although some stories will contain cursive later down the line, but likely won't be put into speech, rather narrative.
Now the upcoming story. It will be a clop. Me and a friend of mine started talking about clopfics, and he's been pestering me to write a clopfic for a while. Eventually, I just said "Screw it", and thus I have given birth to my first (in my opinion) clopfic. I have the situation down, the characters (Twilight and Pinkie if you're wondering), and what will happen. It's just a matter of wording it all now. Let me say right now that it's practically clop for the sake of clop, and should not be seen as really anything else.
I'm not in a rush to release it though, so it could be a few weeks before it comes out. I hope it goes well though. I haven't written big clop before, so I'm a bit sceptical about the reception it will receive.
Hopefully, he will shut up after its done, and it will satisfy his fantasies a lot. Yeah, he's one of those.
I'm enjoying Cheese Pie Cake! I think you're not the only TwiPie shipper who started enjoying CheesePie--in fact, I know you're not. Heck, I know several people with other Pinkie OTPs who also enjoy CheesePie. It's not so much dropping the other ship as sliding over and giving CheesePie a little room, if that makes sense.
I don't personally write clop, and to be honest, there IS one fic that has substantial clop in it that I follow, because it is a mind-blowingly good fic and I can't tear myself away, but it's the only one. (It's SusieBeeca's Three Steps Back.) On the other hand, I have written Warm Stuff, just not for pony, and there's some value to trying it out as an author, just like trying a different narrative style or a different genre. I wrote it out of my system, personally, but you might find you enjoy writing it and are good at it. You'll never know unless you try.
Hey, it's natural when two ponies bounds off each other pretty well your tend to wonder if there can be something more between them, that kind of occur to me with Cheesepie as it's that kind of ship that gives you a warm burly feeling inside. I don't mind TwiPie that much and can even enjoy it, so I don't really put the kind of shipping into account when I read a fic if it's done well and shows the two characters having chemistry.
And clops..........I'm not going to touch on the subject, not that it's bad but like you said that ponies cursing makes you feel uncomfortable that how I feel when it happen during a fic........but go ahead and write, it may not be my thing but I'm sure others will like it.
The way I see Cheese Sandwich as a character in the show, he's written into every story basically the same way everyone writes The Doctor into their stories without the Crossover tag.
Cheese Sandwich is just Weird Al as a canon pony.
With that mindset, every story about said character is both the weirdest, yet most completely amazing thing I've ever seen happen to any fandom ever.
