    Rise From Your Grave

    Well this is rather... something.

So much time passed, things started, things ended, life lived, and all the rest.

    Now what is this?

    That's probably what you're thinking

It has been a hot minute (or two) since the last time I posted anything so I can fully understand.

And I believe that last blog post was more or less just me talking about my plans to attend a convention that took place last year. *ooph* But in case you were wondering about that it went very well. I'll have to post the pictures up sometime.

    No Update...not at all.

    That's right nothin!

This is certainly not a gosh darn thing about to happen anytime soon, get out of here.

Do not get excited for updates or anything cool, because that would be silly, and such unprecedented levels of excitement would make you silly as well.

I'mma Do A Cool Thing · 2:56pm May 24th, 2014

Good morning readers, followers, and confused ones who are here by possible accident.

This blog post is being made for a few reasons, most of which are selfish, and somewhat petty.

With Summer now in full swing (where I'm at anyways) that means school is done with (thank goodness) the place I currently work is dwindling it's work hours (kind of doubled-edge sword there), and my B-day is just around the corner.

I'm taking a day from being a general layabout, to do a thing that I've never done before. I'm attending a Brony-con.

Clearing a weekend so that I can drive to this, see the sights, maybe meet some new people (and hopefully not scare them off with my special brand of shy-muteness, and general lack of knowledge of anything else it's fanfic related), and really usher in a time period where I got nothin on my plate but sparse hours of work, and personal time with good ol google docs.

I've keep things under my hat for a good while now due to me being a large fan of surprises, and having a damning problem with "Oh man that's a good idea! I should add that to the line-up!" So when I say I have things near readiness I really want you to focus on the plural there. I got new ideas that I want to make sure I'm doing right, and the old ones that I still love have both reached their 'turning point' so making them perfect (I know it's really a matter of perspective) is crucial to me. Good friends thewaffler and PrometheusDark have both helped pull me out of my own butt regarding 'no one wants perfection they just really want to see what you've been up to man'. So thanks to those guys for putting up with my manic way of going about things. Rest assured readers that the 'circus tent' I keep talking about does in fact have more inside than drunken passed out clowns, and a crazy ringmaster who's gnawing on his cane and talking to himself.

The big thing I wanted to point out is that to start things off I'm doing this thing (going to Midwest Bronyfest) today, and despite the suave, cool-headed, and macho exterior I tend to exude (Yeah right!) I'm a bit nervous.

Friends can tell you that I'm pretty dang skittish around friends and strangers alike, unless I'm good and sauced or I've been goofin off with you on collabs for a good while now. To me a convention all on my own is terrifying, even if it's filled with friendly people dressed up as characters from a show I write fanfiction for so trust me when I say I'm sweating bullets. But, nervous or not I swore that I'd go this time, and attempt to have a good time, and be friendly with all I come across.

I suppose that I'm writing this because seeing this on paper...or internet blog kind of strengthens my resolve, and it also lets you all know what I'm doing since my schedule, and way of doing things have left a good number of you in the dark regarding my to-do list.

So seeing that I'm already late to the festivities (I sleep in too much) I'm gonna scoot, and down about 3 cups of confidence (coffee for me) and drive up to this convention of the midwest manner. The plan is to take some fun pictures, buy some awesome merchandise (that will only be displayed in the odd hours where my home is completely empty except for myself), meet people, hopefully learn cool stuff, and generally enjoy one of the few going-ons where I can quote Spike in all his greatness and somebody actually know what the well I'm talking about.

Hopefully this blog post finds you well, and you're all having a great weekend yourselves. So till next time I'll see you all later.

P.S. May be in the business of looking for a beta-reader or two. My usual guy's been kind of busy, and I don't trust my personal still budding grammar skills to be the redeeming quality within my fics.

Ok than Midwest Fest here I come!

(Dear god I'm going to die)

Good to hear your not dead, Happy early B-day, and have fun at the BronyFest:twilightsmile:.

Hopefully this break lets you continue one or all of your stories:twilightsheepish:. There all great:pinkiehappy:, so pick one or two or three, just update something, and no your blog doesn't count:ajbemused:!

Like I said, have fun and update your stories, soon. Please:pinkiehappy:! Later:moustache:!

I've enjoyed the Cons that I've gone to, but like a trip on an ocean liner, I've always found that they last "just long enough." Get out of the hotel/convention center and see Kansas City; go to Royals game, find a jazz place, eat some barbecue. Don't miss the place when you take the trip. It's nice to meet people you comment with online, and I'll miss getting sketches from my favorite artists this year, but take your time and don't try to do everything, just the things that will make the best memories.

Oh, and Happy Birthday, of course!

Hope you have the best time out there Mako and happy soon Birthday. Can't wait for your return.
