I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

    Episode Re-Review: Grannies Gone Wild

Well, Tell Your Tale finally decided to try to do something interesting, because the last episode showed Sunny's mom in a flashback. But they didn't even give her a name, let alone elaborate on what happened to her. And given the way Tell Your Tale progresses, I'm not expecting any follow-up anytime soon. Getting back to G4, Season 8 hit its first stumbling block only four episodes in, and the

Episode Re-Review: Fake It 'Til You Make It

Oh joy, it's back to Season 8. Season 9 has its fair share of detractors, but hardly anyone I know ever sings Season 8's praises, and for good reason. We now know that the School of Friendship was added at Hasbro's request because they wanted the show to wrap up with nine seasons, forcing the writers to change their plans for the pillars. About the only good thing to come out of Season 8 seems to

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship

While we now know that this has to take place not just before Season 8 but before the events of the 2017 FiM movie, it first premiered in February of 2018, about a month before Season 8 of FiM hit the airwaves. Interestingly, the Discovery Family broadcast omitted several scenes that were later released as part of an "extended" version. As for the writer, it was none other than Nick Confalone,

    Episode Re-Review: Uncommon Bond

After the absolute disaster that was "Secrets and Pies", Season 7 really needed something to redeem it and give it the chance to go out on a high note, especially now that the big 2017 movie had come and gone, and the show's future was still uncertain. Josh Haber, after having returned to the story editor's chair and ultimately taking back the reigns fully from Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco

Top Ten Villans of FiM, Version 2 (Post Season 4) · 3:53pm May 21st, 2014

Once again here is the original version. Season 4 introduced a few new villans, and brought back some old ones. So let's see who stays, who is added, who is removed, who moves up, and who moves down.

10. Suri Polomare (Episodes appeared in: Rarity Takes Manehattan, (Mentioned in Twilight's Kingdom Part 1))
Why she was added: Compared to a lot of other major and minor villans that FiM has introduced Suri is more down to earth. She's not an all powerful reality breaker, a princess gone rouge, or even a boastful magician. She's just a simple fashion designer, and a foil for Rarity. She is the first of five characters to test the mane six, and shows Rarity that Manehattan isn't completely selfless, and far from the fantasy she envisioned it to be.

9. Gilda (Episodes appeared in: Griffon The Brush Off)
Why she moved down: Gilda was the first one-shot character to be introduced, and the first minor villan and foil to be introduced. All in all, for two seasons she enjoyed her reign as the anti Rainbow Dash, but once Season 3 came along that title was taken away from her by another one-shot villan. In the end, with the cast of villans introduced and reintroduced in Season 4 Gilda just couldn't compete.

8. Lightning Dust (Episodes appeared in: Wonderbolt Academy)
Why she moved down: Lightning Dust was an example of what Rainbow Dash might have been like had she never become the Element of Loyalty. Though, in the one episode she appeared in, we did see that she probably didn't know she was causing so much trouble to those around her. I really can't help but feel like she should've been in "Rainbow Falls" as the head of the Cloudsdale team. It would've been more believeable for her to not care about her teammates compared to The Wonderbolts. Much like Gilda, with the new villans Season 4 gave us to work with, and the old villans Season 4 tweaked Lightning Dust just couldn't compete.

7. Trixie a.k.a The Great and Powerful/Apologetic Trixie (Episodes appeared in: Boast Busters, Magic Duel)
Why she moved down: There were several opportunities for Trixie to appear in Season 4, high among them being probably "Three's A Crowd" with her being the "sick friend" Twilight had to take care of. There is hope that with M. A. Larson coming back for Season 5 that we'll see more of our favorite showmare. Even if she's no longer a villan. But, as is the case with the previous two entries Trixie couldn't compete with the newcomers, and revamped old timers.

6. Queen Chrysalis (Episodes appeared in: A Canterlot Wedding Parts 1 and 2)
Why she moved down: With the inclusion of The Mane-iac and Lord Tirek, and the revamped Nightmare Moon, Queen Chrysalis now holds the unfortunate title of the most generic major villan on the show. The IDW Comics featured her in their first arc, and took her character in a direction no one expected, but at best the comics are secondary canon. So in terms of primary canon, Chrysalis is the most generic. And even then, she still came pretty darn close to achieving her goal.

5. The Mane-iac (Episodes appeared in: Power Ponies)
Why she was added: For a comic book supervillan with all the obvious cliches The Mane-iac was quite the threat. From the moment she appeared on screen she was actively trying to kill The Mane Six. And once she had captured them, she was smart enough to constantly spray them with a mane spray that kept them from using their powers. Had she not monlogued she probably would've been able to stop Spike before he freed his friends. And even then, if she had not swated that firefly away she still would've probably won. If she ever somehow escaped from the world of the comics she could actually pose a very serious threat to Equestria. Now if only she wouldn't crack so many puns, it's like Mr. Freeze all over again.

4. Lord Tirek (Episodes appeared in: Twilight's Kingdom Parts 1 and 2)
Why he was added: Lord Tirek was anything but generic from the moment we saw him, and his execution was pulled off very well. Considering the year he first appeared, he was a clever nod to the original G1 special where he was the primary villan throughout. Here, he is an energy thief, and he grows in size every time he does so. He knew what strings to pull to get Discord on his side, and even after absorbing so much magic, he was still unable to defeat Twilight Sparkle head on. However, his defeat comes rather quickly once the mane six unlock "Rainbow Power", and this time it does not seem like he will be able to escape from Tartarus. His transition from a small threat, to a major monstrosity was a nice change of pace compared to other villans. But at least early on he was only able to accomplish his plans because he had Discord by his side.

3. Nightmare Moon (Episodes appeared in: Friendship is Magic Parts 1 and 2, Princess Twilight Sparkle Parts 1 and 2)
Why she moved up: In her first appearance Nightmare Moon was incredibly generic, to the point where she was really lacking. It was her return appearance in a flashback in "Princess Twilight Sparkle" that really showed just how dangerous she really was. To date, she is the only villan to actually hurt Princess Celestia. Yes Princess Celestia recovers and shrugs it off as if nothing happened, but still, that was no easy feat. Her design in the flashback helped to show that compared to how she was 1,000 years later she wasn't fooling around when she took on Princess Celestia.

2. King Sombra (Episodes appeared in: Crystal Empire Parts 1 and 2)
Why he moved up: Even with the inclusion of Lord Tirek, and the revamped Nightmare Moon, King Sombra remains the most serious and dangerous threat the mane six have ever encountered. His lack of dialogue, and actual prescence only serve to make him more meancing as he know nothing about it him, but just from observing the traps he set up to protect The Crystal Heart, it's obvious he wasn't taking any chances. And out of all the major villans on the show, he is still the one who came the closest to actually winning. His only weakness was not counting on the prescence of Spike, and finding a way to stop him before he obtained The Crystal Heart.

(Alright quick recap before we get to number 1. 10. Suri Polomare, 9. Gilda, 8. Lightning Dust, 7. Trixie a.k.a The Great and Powerful/Apologetic Trixie, 6. Queen Chrysalis, 5. The Mane-iac, 4. Lord Tirek, 3. Nightmare Moon, and 2. King Sombra)

1. Discord (Episodes appeared in: The Return of Harmony Parts 1 and 2, Keep Calm and Flutter On, Princess Twilight Sparkle Parts 1 and 2, Three's A Crowd, Twilight's Kingdom Parts 1 and 2)
Why he stayed the same: I might be cheating since technically he's not a villan anymore, but still at least up until the end of "Twilight's Kingdom" he was pretty much still doing what he wanted, and only really helped Twilight and her friends if he felt like it, and even then usually just for his own reasons. And as Season 4 showed, just because he was reformed did not mean he had to stop being who he was. And while only Fluttershy may have truly considered a friend at first, he was more than willing to do anything to get into her good books. And now it seems like he might be trying to do the same to Princess Celestia. He'll probably drop off the list in Season 5, but only time will tell.

And there you have it.

I don't really see her as a villen just a upset teenager that is how i see her :moustache:

From the perspective, if being a pain to a single character counts?
why not Cranky Doodle Donkey?
he looks as if he is the Nemesis of Pinkie Pie, and doesn't really cae?

Honorable mention: Ahuizotl

I think I know why he didn't make the list, even though he had a big role in Season 4. We, really don't know a lot about him other than the fact that he's Daring Do's biggest nemesis and that he's based off of an Aztec emperor of the same name as well as a mythological creature (I'm not kidding about this; look it up). As such, most of his presence and personality is up to fan speculation. I dunno, maybe if we see more of him in Season 5 or the comics, we can form a better opinion of him. :applejackunsure:
