D=S-M Woes + a sneak preview!

This is more like a semi-update on the next chapter's appearance. And the brutal answer is, it's going to take a while. I've been working like a dog as of late, having little to no time to write the monster that is the next D=S-M chapter, and boy, is it a struggle.

The next chapter is made up of four scenes in total, and the end scene, is the one I am currently working on (the stuff with all the blood and deaths and Twilight kicking fucking ass effortlessly. But, DAMN, is it hard to write. Like. Super difficult. I've had like four different editors/proof readers go over the bits I have done, and, while they point out various silly mistakes and areas for improvement, and have listened to them, I still feel worried that the chapter (already hitting 4k words), won't live up to in my mind, the reaction I want. Meh. I'm pretty self doubting. I just don't want to let any one down. And... Well. I really want it to have a lot of everything - feels, most of all. It's pretty grim dark, and I might have to change the rating.

Though, for those that follow that story, I've noticed people are waiting for the 'Twilight going to the darkside/Powertrip' which the fic promises in the summary to happen. I am pleased to say that it will happen in this next chapter. And it will only get worse. To confirm this, here's a snippet. If you do not wish to read it, then please, PLEASE PLEASE, ignore what is below this. Anyhow. On another note - before I leave you with my pointless ramblings, if any of you read D=S-M, there is one scene I want some opinions (if you have any or want to give) on, and it is mostly a ShiningxCadence scene. So here's my question. Should Cadence be pregnant? Discuss.

“I, Princess Twilight Sparkle, sentence you; the ones that are still alive, to be put to death,” Twilight stopped before the dead and the dying, her horn aglow with a dark purple aura that glowed in its intensity with each passing second, “traditionally when the penalty was introduced during the singular reign of Princess Celestia, criminals that were found guilty were hung until death, so you can probably gauge by that lecture just what is going to happen to you... Any questions?” She gave them all a brief glance, awaiting any other response than the groans of the dying and injured. When none was brought forward, Twilight simply continued, “I didn’t think so.”

I think Candence should be pregnant. That way Twi will see it as another fact to be depressed, like the foal will never know her great aunt(or grandma I don't know some kind of important family member) cause she is dead now thx to the griffin assassin, or if Twi think/try to commit suicide she will remember that she won't be able to help raise the baby if she dies.

As for Cadence, do what you want. Don't mind either way. Though I guess it could potentially add more to the story if she was.

The last thing this story needs is another layer of angst. Its already just a little too far, but not enough to be sickening. Yet. Tread carefully, author.
